ay bro i wanna ask you how did you change the headlights i love the headlights on this just bought a new lx convertible and i hate the square lights????? any suggestions
Yeah, i changed mine. You have to change the impact bar, bumper cover, and headlight mounting panel. then of course change the plugs on the harness. Beware though that when you change the bumper cover that the trim on the fender will not match the bumper. 85' back cars had different side trim than the 87'-93' cars.
the loovers just unbolt, but the glass is glued in. Once you get them out, you have to drill a hole at the top for one of the new window studs. After you do this they will fit right in. You will have to cut two metal tabs and drill a hole in them for the two front bolts.
@Mudddrider108 Believe me I wanted to but the car body wasn't the same size to the windows, the windows were over an inch bigger (don't remember exact measurements) so I had to leave it alone. The cost would have been too high to change the frame just to have the windows fit. I actually ended up selling my mustang a few months ago and switched to a beamer 325. Fun times :)
@masterfly , not that it matters now, but the windows will fit. you have to make mounting tabs for the front and drill one hole. You remove the loovers and the glass and the 87-93 will bolt right up. the cover that part of the body you are talking about. I did mine in an hour.
@mcdrophammer Hah cool. I still have the windows, just not the stang anymore. I'm gonna hold on to them in case I buy another stang someday. But if anything it'll be a fox body already so I won't need the windows, who knows. I'm surprised at how fast you did that, I wish I knew that sooner

Looks like you did the quarter windows yourself?
I just bought some for my 85 and am wondering how I'm going to get them in there in place of the stock grill side panels.
Nice car man.
