I'm a latics fan, butf air play, I was there that night, and it WAS that packed. We had to park at Cherry Gardens and walk. I never saw a point scored. (I was only 10) There were 6 foot plus blokes stood on crates! I was stood right at the top of the terrace, right on that corner.

From the mid 1980's to 1995 the Wigan club dominant rugby league in britain and the world club challenge matches, it was on a fluke that the brisbane broncos won the 1992 world club challenge. If you put the wigan teams from that period against the great St George side's from the 1950's to the mid 1960's, wigan would win!!!!(but we should really NEVER compare past era's)
