強行闖入駐日中國大使館遭日警逮捕的六四天安門事件學生民運領袖吾爾開希今天被釋放，但仍不能離開東京，必須等候傳訊。
吾爾開希是在本月四日下午兩點多在東京的中國大使館前抗議，要求「自首」返回中國，並企圖強行闖進大使館而被日本警察逮捕。
日警在三天的留置之後認為沒有逃亡或湮滅證據之虞，在今天下午兩點多將他釋放，但因有需要再度傳訊而暫時不准他離境。
吾爾開希在獲釋放之後對媒體記者表示，他無論如何都想回中國探望親人，「就算家人以探監的方式來看我都可以」。他說，四日他是「想對中國『自首』」，希望中國逮捕他，想不到是被日本警察捉起來。
