I agree, it's a great song. A correction though: it was Mitch Ryder who covered this, not John Mellencamp. Of course, Mellencamp produced it and his band backed Mitch, so it's got the Mellencamp sound. I absolutely love that version! It's a credit to the song that it can be successfully interpreted by a variety of very different artists.
