What are the specs of your computer and what program do you use to convert the uncompressed .avi file into a 720p file (likely something like .mp4 or .mkv)? I use VirtualDub to encode mine into Xvid but 480p isn't nearly as good of quality as a 720p video. Any response is appreciated.
I used to use WinFF using the AVI > Xvid Widescreen preset which worked really well, but I've recently started using HandBrake to convert to MP4, which has a lot better compression (I think this video was around 100 MB). It took a while to tweak the settings to be just right, but I never tried the presets either.
@Venndettta Ah, HandBrake! How could I forget? And with your specs, it's no wonder you don't have any lag while I lag pretty badly with a built in graphics card hahahaha. This video being around 100mb is insane, xvid is usually around 50 or so, so the increase in file size is negligible in comparison to the quality you receive. Thanks for your reply.
