Shady side is a 1/8 track. I ran my bike Saturday. It ran a 7.5 at 120 mph. Could not keep the front end down. Used stock gearing on my k5 gsxr 1000. Putting extension on and going up two teeth in the back. Hoping to be running this Saturday

what i'm finding strange is 5.74 @123 mph, to do that time you should be going 190 ish

@madfish70 If he was running that in the 1/4 it would most likely be trapping over 200. This is an 1/8 mile track.

They didn't say anywhere that it was a 1/4 mile track as far as I can tell, but it seems lots of people are assuming it is.

I had a GSXR1k and I think stock was arnd 42-43teeth on the rear! If you are shifting just before the 1/8th (I still find hard to believe) you need to gear it a little more so you're shifting a lot sooner and having it pulling you through the 1/8th mile beams and not shifting "just" before. Maybe 45/46......

whats the problem with them running 5.70's in the eighth?? I have watched them run those times on an 04' GSXR1k.... I was around 240lbs suited back then and on an 03' GSXR1K at the time and I ran 6.20-30's without any engine work!! Hell I don't doubt it at all because I know he's atleast 100lbs lighter! Oh, wait a minute,. you really don't know what you're doing or how to do it and get GOOD times! just admit it... you gotta know more than just when to leave! Meet up before the season ends!

I bet thats a 600 foot track, aint no stock 1000 gonna run 5.74 in the 1/8ml- 660 feet thats bull shit. my bike runs 6.0s in the 1/8, If i go to pick wick dragway I can run 5.8s all day. the track is 30 feet short. get a grip yall

ya what about the gearing . im shifting into 2nd just befor the 1/8th with 16/44 teeth i counted 4 gears there and what about that 200 rear tire. what else yall got on there?

These guys own a shop do you think they are gonna tell you they secret? If they told you then you would change the gears urself or let someone else do it that has an cheaper price. They are thinking if ur serious then you would call the number.

@ahmir31 lmao ya i mean16/44 .stock 07 gsxr is 17/43. i think its crazy myself but the problem lays in the transmission. if you havnt allready rode a stock 07-09 stock gsxr you should check it out real taaaaaaaaaaaall first gear
