In all fairness when you wrote that comment 10k RMB was worth about 1,500 USD... but you're right, American bands would make a lot more.
but I think he forgot to mention how much they make touring. When you become famous across China and maybe even HK, you can play shows in dozens of cities and make decent money.
Ah ha ha RAMONES a jEW band heh heh... I like Blue Eyed Devils , Total War , Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig Van Beethoven:Hey ever heard of The "SASSOON" crime family?Yeah they are responsible for the OPIUM WARS and the THEFT of Hong Kong..using dumb Anglo Goyim to achieve it of course, some things never change eh? Iraq,Afghanistan, who's next on the list? govnn dot com.
It's cool to know that in China, people have fond Star Wars memories as well! Hmm...how do I go about living a cool life and not a hum drum 9 to 5 existence?
i was born on 1983 in China, n lived together with transformers for more than 10 yrs...starwars...no idea till late 90s...hav been disconnected from that series till the new episodes came out...
Sufei, well done! I did not realize how terribly native Chinese singers suffered from pirated CDs and tapes. A short video can be drastically insightful, especially when, such as in this case, the people being interviewed have gone through the evolving phrase of a nation.
I am always surprised by Sufei's Mandarin, but now it is a little strange that you knew the singer since when he was a youth. Were you in Beijing at any point during the 1980s?
he seems so mellow, kinda different from when he sings and performs

dang i feel bad for him and his band getting their stuff pirated and only making 50cents an album, that hurts
10k chinese is barely anything for one album's worth of work
liu11 4 years ago
american bands signed to major labels make about that each album.
blu3shock 3 years ago
10k chinese is less than 1k dollars- I'm pretty sure major label american bands make much more.

Inspiringly subversive, but I hate the comparison to Carrie. She was by far the most annoying and unlikeable of the ensemble. Why imitate her?

This guy is great! "Nei ge, zhei ge, zheiga neiga..." It is like the teenage girls saying, "it's like, it's like, like , like it's"
The interviews are pretty interesting...!
