iphone was chipped so i could use any sim card on it (used orange one) but it accidently got updated so now my iphone is locked until "i INSERT A VALID SIM" do i have to buy a new SIM card specially for the iphone or is there a way around it? in addition if i DO have to get a valid SIM will i have to pay the montly fees for it once i bought it or what? can i just buy it and never use it without being charged? ANY INFO PLEASE!!???

Jailbreak it for latest version. Use unlocking software to unlock it to be able to use your sim card. Google it for more information.
