i find this out after i spend 3 hours using bluetooth to send a mp3 file to my phone then realizing... i can't use it as a ringtone.

Ya me la pille como es y me funciono en dos cel

en español:

menu/9(configuracion)/4/1/tono de timbre/elbotom de la mitad/seleciono el.mp3/elbotom de la mitad/c/botom de la derecha para guardar.

Y cuando vuelves y revisas ya esta el cambio

in english

menu/9 (setting)/4/1/ring tone/push center/select mp3/push center/push c/push left to save. And ready.

I jsut got the t809 today... It doesn't work for me... I highlight the mp3 file, push the center button (i've also tried "select") then hit back. When I go back, it's still the tmobile ring.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi all. I also have T809. To use MP3 as ringtone you have to start from the computer. You have the song that you want on computer. Change its name from .mp3 to .3gp and put it back to ur phone. It's gonna be either on music or sound :)

You don't HAVE to, but you can. You can set mp3 ringtones from the phone itself using the method in the video, but apparently it may not work with newer firmwares (or so I've heard)

hey i got the same phone but how do you set the songs that you get from another person through bluetooth as a ring tone..i try to set it as ring tone but the option is not highlighted its gray instead of black like the rest of the words(options)

thats easy to do it;; just you need .3gp file in your phone and .mp3 file and just press select and back and select and it will be change. they do have more like this *#8999*8378# press this and you go to hidden menu
