  • Considering Ewan comes from a country where 98% of the population's been unemployed since Braveheart finished filming I think Rawanda looks pretty good.

  • Супер . Хорошо прогулялись

  • I am Rwandan. What a fantastic, brave comment

  • love what you've done with the place, mr. president

  • unfortunately, there are a lot of attacks on Christian missions in Africa, who are only helping give medical aid, free schooling etc under the disguise of ethnic cleansing and genocide to "cleanse" Africa of Christianity and then the U.N. comes in and seems like the only ones helping, but there 90%+ of the aid and charity in Africa is because of private Christian missions

  • blacks seem to love those shoes. Thy get sold down in peckham, london and all the blacks wear them down there too. Hideous, the shoes not the people before the pc brigade starts...heh

  • the spear through the skull...

  • I watched a great movie about the genocide called Hotel Rwanda lately. It is really touching and hard to forget.

  • @Ajsinka212 Great movie

  • How horrible is the human nature?..HOW !?

  • OMG Ewan is sooo hot !

  • Does he say 12 and a half thousand years ago at 7.10?

  • terrible when the man says the world didn't help because many other things were going on at the time like the world cup and death of Kurt cobain...

and i think the war in bosnia only had priority because its closer to the e.u.- western world....nobody seems to care about a country so far away from its own borders. but how can we not feel the responsisbility to care when we have advantages because of cheap raw materials and goods that we get from exactly those parts of the world...

  • i like what you've done with the place... LOL

  • @J44K3

didnt have the balls to ask him about war crimes court though!

  • Beautiful people

  • Stop at 8:28. Do you see the picture of the president in the background? Reminds me of the GDR times when there was also always the "ruler" present with his picture over every desk. Doesn't make a good connection if you want to see Rwanda as democratic ...

  • @SarahPsalm4012. you're overreacting. it's a government office with a picture of the president. not uncommon

  • @solecontroller You're probably right. I've just experienced enough of this to be careful now, that's all.

  • @SarahPsalm4012 It's not that weird. If you go on any US military base, you'll find portraits of all of the leadership in that base's command, all the way up to the President of the US. It's very common for government offices to do that.

  • Now I am Rwandan. Sometimes it feels like there is a need for horrific things to happen, so that can change the minds of people. Rwanda looks nowadays very good and its one of the successful countrys on africa.

  • how is ewans hair always so cool when he wears a helmet constantly

  • Dai!!!! Where's your passport, dude!?!? ;)

  • Rwanda had no place to go but up a very sobering place but a very positive place at the same time

  • Rawanda looks like a VERY sobering place to visit. S'nice to see that they've healed so much, since those dark days (beginning in '94).

  • it is so unbelievable stupid how people treat minorities everywhere on earth! i hate it! mostly its not about surviving but just to show power! totally absurd! why dont they keep busy with stuff like loosing passports and get them back and make a joke out of it. just hope it will be better one holy day!

  • "Now I am Rewanden" This makes me believe...

  • Fantastic dokumentation. I rode offroad myself for some years and their tours look so breathakingly fantastic. Charly and Ewan look like genuinely nice guys and are really moved by the horros of genocide. But Ewans shoes, WTF :-)? These are shoes for pimps and hustlers haha.

  • A lot of these countries (including Tanzania) were at one time German colonies. Wish I could see some of the German influence as these guys pass through, like in the architecture. That would be cool.

  • I watched movie about this genocide and especially this church.Knowing that it is true story make feel sick.Unbelievable!

  • "there ain't nothing stoppin us from leaving but going" haha love it!

  • they couldn't just shoot the 5000 people could they? get it over with quick. they had to make them suffer. charleys right, it knocks you sideways

  • "Know I'm Rwandan"

  • 12500 years ago? lol

  • I liked the lady's comment. I am now Rawandan. Says it all really..

  • he looks ok man i like him

  • The church memorial really shows you just how bad the genocide was...makes you think. Makes it more real as opposed to just hearing about it on the news.

  • love the music they put with this....goes really well

  • hahahaha at "found it in jim's bag"

  • wooh,

    Charley said it,

"i like what you've done with the place."

  • very sad. human suffering is never good
