Well fans will be fans and the same has happend over the years to all kinds of bands like Van Halen, although it was because the singer was out there in your face kind of. Maynard is like kind of off to the side and people want to be connected in some way to the one who is singing I guess. I'm just glad I could get tickets to see A perfect circle 2 times, and Tool once I will always remember those concerts.

Why must you all worship Maynard? He's talented, but it's not like he is the front man for Tool or in any way stands out. He's no better of a singer than Danny is a drummer, Adam is a guitarist, or Justin is a bassist. He's simply a quarter of the band, nothing more. It is the musical content that defines Tool, and Maynard certainly has no leading role in writing Tool's music, at all. If anything, you guys should be worshiping Danny Carey, but, credit the whole band or credit no one.
