This song rocks ! it's a shame these guys only put out one album , but I'm glad i own it! grunge fucked up alot of bands !we still have the memories ! rock on !!!!
this was the end of a great era... all the bands started sounding the same and looking the same. that's why this type of metal disappeared...it killed itself with so many poison clones. Firehouse was another band at the end of that era that was really good. Badlands with Jake E Lee is another great band around this time.
Everyone says , Glam Metal was faded to die ´cause people just got tired of all these bands , but taday people don´t get tired of this awful pop and Rap , go figure ...
YES !!. the singer favors DAVID LEE ROTH in looks. this is a very powerful
song. the idea of filming in a basement gives you the feel of a band starving for success and recognition as well. you don't see that kind of concept too much.
AWESOME TUNE......................................Are these days back??? I sure hope so! DAYUM, this sounds good! And to think those JACKAZZ NIRVANA IDIOTS were the ruin of this type music. that is a horrible thing. Nirvana SUUUUUUUCKED and always will.
Ha, ha, NIRVANA waltzed into town and SHOWED ASSHOLE BANDS LIKE THIS WHAT THE FUCK WAS UP!!!!!!! Say what you will, but the proof is in the pudding!!! No denying!!!!!! The reason all these asshole "hair bands" flopped is simple...THEY FUCKING SUCKED!!!!! Oh, and by the way, I'm just watching this shit for a FUCKING LAUGH!!!!!!!
NIRVANA, SOUNDGARDEN, PEARLJAM, STP, SMASHING PUMPKINS and MARILYN MANSON RULE ALL!!!!!!!!!!! HAIR METAL BLOWS DICK!!!!!!!!
@SpikeMichaels Can say what you like on grunge videos, but here you just look like a close-minded dick with little appreciation for other music than your own.
If people wanna bash grunge here then let them. Grunge musicianship fails compared to earlier bands like this.
@theotherguy7145 Well, you can't argue with facts. Nirvana, with one album, ONE FUCKING ALBUM....destroyed and rendered irrelevant an ENTIRE DECADE of bullshit, gay-ass "hair metal." No way around it... HAIR METAL AND GLAM SUCK DICK!!!!! ALICE IN CHAINS FUCKING RULE!!!!! And this band, Tornado Tommy or whatever....."wild, young and crazy?" Wow, clever!! Mmmm, where have I heard that before?
@theotherguy7145 Nah, it's cool, everyone likes what they like. Some like Glam/hair metal, some like grunge/alternative. I happen to like a lot of both. I like CRUE, Skid Row, GNR...serious, Hair Metal died cause from about 89-91, there was a GLUT of bands ( like Hericane Alice,Banshee, Bang Tango, Danger Danger, etc...) that LITERALLY looked and sounded identical...which led to a massive burnout factor....really, the only legit band from that last wave of metal was Bangalore Choir..
@MysticGentlemanPRD Heh, heh, especially coming from me, the "big hater of glam metal"...see, most people don't even know who the fuck BANGALORE CHOIR is.... they fucking rule!!!!!!
@SpikeMichaels And where are all those bands now??? 20 + yrs later Kix, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Poison .... they are all still touring..... Suck on that!
@SpikeMichaels Just a reminder that Alice inChains looked like Poison when they first were a band.So they kind of ditched the look. Looks like a poseur move to me, but musically it ruled because I think they were good musicians.Hair bands had to end such as Grunge has ended, and if you want to say "gay ass" all the bands you mentioned wore dresses so maybe all bands are gay lol!
why can't all you fucks just give credit where credit is due regardless of whether or not it appeals to you personaly? i'm sick of seeing all you self righteous pricks professing to be fucking music scholars. suck a dick.
I don't understand why people who liked bands like this or whatever were/are so angry at "grunge". Like it's a shock that the music business changes its flavor of the moment...At the same time this song came out there were tons of young kids into stuff like Morbid Angel or Entombed who thought bands like this were terrible. I guerss because they never hit it big there's no hard feelings? Keep doing your thing Hard Rockers. If the music is actually good you always have an audience
@frombose >> grunge sucks !!!!!!!! grunge is for the bad musicians who are unable to play guitar like a guitarhero. for someone who begin to learn guitar play nirvana is easy but play led zep, guns or cinderella it's too hard.
@TheSouthernrock As bad as this band is I agree 100% with you about Grunge....FUCKEN AWFUL NO TALENT HACKS! Killed Rock and is the soul reason Rock is dead today.
@TheSouthernrock i think grunge sucks too, but not because it's simple. i mean, led zep is very simple comparing to yngwie malmsteen and shredding company, or even comparing to classical music,
dont get me wrong, guns are my favorite musicians ever! just some logic. oh yeah i like logic!
these guy's were pretty good, i set up their set and worked security for the concert one night in rochester, mn, they came because the bass player was from mayo h.s. good concert, wish i could find more videos and songs
Savatage - hall of the mountain king 1987 ( this is a must have album people) if you have the record you're and 80s metal true fan. HEAVY METAL RULES 80s !!!!!!!

I still have cassettes from this band that I bought at a flea market because I had already heard everything available at the stores. Imports from Japan I believe.
@metalbeast85 TRUE METAL? you mean the 80s METAL? These dudes are wayyy too awesome! I hope that they are still around. Recently bought the album. Why do all the other bands not be more like them and Spread Eagle.
Yes, they were from the Twin Cities but under Hurricane Alice. I believe that the singer, Bruce, was the only original member from the Cities. I used to see them at Ryan's in St. Paul back in the day.
Yeah. Bruce was in The employers prior to Hurricane Alice. They played around the twin cities. I laughed my ass off when I heard my old girlfriend got herpes from him.
Danny Gill was an awesome guy. He was teaching at Musician's Institute in Hollywood back in the early 90's. I was a student there. I would sit in on his personal workshops as his bassist. this was a great band. Again, another great band that never had a shot because this was all the record companies were signing back then. OVERKILL!
anyone know what ever happened to thom panunzio , i got a cd from a group called uninvited that he produced, they were touring with jackyl in the late 90's, just wounder what ever happen to the band
I guess I'm gonna really go way back. I used to see Bruce and his band "The Employers" in the early/mid 80's when they played in dingy little clubs around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. His guitar player (TJ Swann) bought a guitar I had for sale from me.
DUDE i am too. thought i had it all....i was wrong. so far i found the most rarest cds on the planet earth badlands, these guys, xyz, britny fox, i have about 70% of all 80s metal bands. check out KISS OF THE GYPSY. THEIR SONG " take this old heart"

OD and die bitch boyz could posture cock in such an unsubstantial youthful way and write something which is such an exemplified, unexperienced, and unrelated parody of the scene itself!
Im one of those guys who love both the 'hair' acts and the grunge cats. I would admit yeah, like any genre after awhile it gets tired out and becomes a parody of itself. But That Tear the house down album by Hericane Alice was pretty badass, they are probably one of the few third wave hair bands I dig. The first wave guys like Dokken and Ratt are usually the good ones.
I heard these guys just played a reunion show in Minneapolis. Wish I would have known about it. I remember liftin' this tape from Cheapo's. Good times, good times.
This guy (I wish I knew his name) has a lot more command than Marq Torien ever had. I like BulletBoys, but this is tons better than that. But BB got the hype--they were supposed to be the next Van Halen, and these guys were just a Minneapolis band. Sad.
Bruce Nahmen, use the be the singer for Employer back in way early 80's, then formed this lame garbage with Ian Mayo from Rot'n-chester, MN. Not sure were the other guys came from. The guitarist I think was from Minne as well, but not certain. They didn't go anywhere because they sounded like other 100k LA based bands. With a Mayo in the band, money wasn't the issue trust me.

But That Tear the house down album by Hericane Alice was pretty badass, they are probably one of the few third wave hair bands I dig. The first wave guys like Dokken and Ratt are usually the good ones.

Shame to America, 'cause this band could be much more famous than they were. They're underrated, but I love 'em :)

I heard these guys just played a reunion show in Minneapolis. Wish I would have known about it. I remember liftin' this tape from Cheapo's. Good times, good times.

Lead singer has a awesome voice
reminds me of the singer of bulletboys, Marq...
jpjessie145 3 years ago 4
This guy (I wish I knew his name) has a lot more command than Marq Torien ever had. I like BulletBoys, but this is tons better than that. But BB got the hype--they were supposed to be the next Van Halen, and these guys were just a Minneapolis band. Sad.

Their from Minneapolis
Badass!
I live like a Mile away from Minneapolis

Bruce Nahmen, use the be the singer for Employer back in way early 80's, then formed this lame garbage with Ian Mayo from Rot'n-chester, MN. Not sure were the other guys came from. The guitarist I think was from Minne as well, but not certain. They didn't go anywhere because they sounded like other 100k LA based bands. With a Mayo in the band, money wasn't the issue trust me.

I saw them play a show in the basement of a VFW in Wisconsin. Too bad Ian and Jackie had already left the band by then.
