  • @rimodard To be honest with you, I tried using it for about 6 months, then the last 4-5 months I haven't been using it, no real difference. It is handy if you can't get good protein in, but I'd much rather you eat real food. know what I mean?

  • @infidelkillsalot Well, I enjoy bodyweight movements because I can gain a better physique and become functionally stronger. I supplement lower body workouts with heavy weighted squats/deadlifts from time to time.

    But I do agree, a combination of both would be optimal.

    I've been working out for three years, all what happened is that I got ripped, I didn't get much bigger. Im 18 now, does taking extra proteins helps, if so how long does it take ?

  • @GgGXxX93 yes, to gain size you need to get about 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day. Realistically you can gain about 5 lbs of pure muscle in a year. 10 lbs if your a genetically gifted individual. check out scooby's workshop for more info.

  • How on earth did you gain sooo much mass doing just body weight workouts? I know you can get ridiculously ripped... like i went from 60 pushups to over 500 in 4 months per workout... but i still don't see how you can really increase difficulty without just increasing reps... HELP PLEASE!! :)

  • @bordercollielover100 Static holds, really slow reps, advanced moves such as front levers, one arm pull ups, planches, handstand pushups, explosive reps, get creative!

  • @bordercollielover100 mate, move ur hands further down your body and alternate the style of pushup. standard, wide arms, staggered. try doing as many pushups as u can with ur hands level with your hips and upper body hanging over. that will help you get started towards planche pushups.

  • @GroundPhobia actually, i'm telling the truth, I can do over 500 pushups in a workout that lasts 30-45 minutes. I timed myself and I can do 102 pushups in 3 minutes with good form. I wanted to know how to gain more mass, because right now my strength to weight ratio is excellent but I want my muscles to become larger. So next time, before you go making accusations about a person that you know nothing about consider how big of a dipshit you are before you do so. have a nice day jerkpube.

  • @GroundPhobia Ok I will. Just so you know that it is completely possible enter "Strong 101, 100 Pushup challenge" into the youtube search bar. This guy did 100 in 2:06, which is nearly a minute less than me, so doing 102 in 3 minutes is completely possible. Know your stuff, before you write crap.

  • @7moooo1 no, I can't do 500 nonstop, if I could I would go for a world record haha but over the course of a workout that lasts about 30 minutes that is the amount of pushups that I can do. If you want to gain mass doing lots of pushups is not the way to do it. Doing lots of reps just makes you gain muscular endurance, not much strength or size. If you want to gain size you are going to have to either follow a program like Scooby's workshop or Building the Gymnastic Body by Coach Sommer.

  • @7moooo1 yes, i'm almost positive that doing more reps will not help you gain size, just endurance. enter "body weight strength training" into google and read the article by eatmoveimprove, it gives the reasoning behind it and the proper way to body weight strength train. good luck!

  • @bordercollielover100 To get really strong and gain muscle mass from bodyweight work outs, you have to slow each rep down and keep perfect form. To gain strength and muscle, it is not about how many reps you do.

    Since you can do 500 push ups, you should start working on 1 handed push ups really slow. 2sec down pause for a second then 2 secs up for example. With the perfect form at a slow controlled pace, do 10 to 15 reps for each side.

    Remember to keep your feet together.

  • @remuko18 I have been training for close to two years, all bodyweight workouts.

    Althought I was shortchanging myself with results due to having a horrible diet, junk food ect, so these results can be achieved much quicker with a well balanced diet and consistent, yet increasingly difficult training program.
