  • Beautiful music!

  • Can I get an mp3 of this? I'm in the process of filming my own short films and this song would fit one of my scenes. Thanks.

  • @LilMoy760

yes il send one on asap.

email me your add im at iainno9@yahoo.co.uk

  • what is the song in the video?

  • @bofffiii14

hi boffin its my own song.knocked up during a commercial break for some arty french film.felt all inspired and european.anyway if you want a song drop us a line.i write songs for challanges.

  • let us just enjoy this film. David Lynch says Thank you. Mullholland Drive is essentially a sequel.

  • Ten film to niepodważalny dowód, że kino jest sztuką!!!! na zawsze.

  • Quite frankly I'm surprised that The Criterion Collection hasn't included/attained that following films: Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita", Ingmar Bergman's "Persona", Michelangelo Antonioni's "La Notte" and Francis Ford Coppola's "Youth Without Youth" and lastly Vittoro de Sica's "The Bicycle Thief" (among numerous others).

  • @JesusCristo2002 Criterion has The Bicycle Thief, I own the Criterion version (it's called by the more accurate British Title "Bicycle Thieves") but yeah, they don't own the rights to the other three (I haven't seen La Notte, but I've seen L'Avventura, and Criterion has L'eclisse as well). La Dolce Vita and Persona are landmark films by Criterion favorite directors. But I think Criterion is acquiring some of the MGM catalog, so maybe we'll see a Criterion Persona (blu-ray?) in the new future.

  • I feel like a fenix after watching bergman's movies...

  • septimussignum

  • its my 5th favourite film of all time. Surpassed only by Tarkovsky's Stalker, Truffaut's 400 Blows, Lang's M, Mizoguchi's Sansho the Bailiff and Kubrick's 2001.

  • @tool619 6th then.

  • Bibi is so sprightly in this film. I enjoy the scene where she is collecting the broken glass

  • what is the name of this soundtrack please !?

  • @sheno07

it an original composition.played on two ukes and a piano.

  • @walkerandwilliam well it's really an awesome piece (Y) ..... can i get it in mp3 !? and can u show me more like it ?!

  • @sheno07

    yes i sent detail.regards etc

    the lunatic engineer

  • what is the name of this soundtrack please !?

  • Why nurse is called "sister"? I've heard this before in european films. Maybe, nursing is considered a spiritual vocation. If you find a definite answer, let me know.

  • Hi, I watched this film on late night TV. It was dubbed into English not subtitled. Do you know who did the American voice for nurse Alma? I thought it sounded like Mia Farrow, but can't find any facts. Do you know whose voice is dubbed in

  • Does this movie involve abortion?

  • @jbs4life

It's discussed that a character had one. That's it.

  • Why is Bibi called "Sister" Alma?

  • @brushstrokesrock One of the ways of saying "nurse" in Swedish is "sjuksyster," a compound meaning "sister of the sick." Abbreviated this turns into "syster," meaning "sister." So Bibi is really addressed as "nurse Alma" when they call her "sister Alma."

  • @VictorHageman: I see. Thanks for the info! :)

  • the music is superfuck!

  • All of the film students in my class thinks THE SEVENTH SEAL is so great. Actually, the seventh seal pales in comparison with persona.

  • "Persona" is the last great movie I saw. I tried to watch this with my Mom (when I visited her in Phoenix, AZ in November 2009) but she freaked out when she saw the prologue and told me to turn it off. I was embarrassed, but it was a reminder of why I think Ingmar Bergman is one of the three greatest directors in the history of movies (Alfred Hitchcock and Howard Hawks are the other two).

  • Did you guys steal this music from Max Richter? Sounds an awful like the Waltz With Bashir soundtrack. (tracks 13 and 18)

  • @welchbyu

no never heard of this Bashir dood.the muzak is all mine.

  • Your music, while amazing, I don't think really strikes the correct chord with this film. Novel though it is, and somber in its execution, it doesn't seem to match anything to do with film. I hope you take this as a constructive crit and not anything spiteful. Regards

  • @touchogrey

ah you see music like movies is essentially a subjective experience.i translated through my brain to my fingers the emotions i felt whilst watching.maybe i short circuted.

anyway im takeing it in the spirit its meant.thancks for listening.

  • my all time favorite movie! bergman is a goddamn GENIUS...

  • is the movie as boring as this trailer?

  • @brownbunny1000 No it's really good

  • @brownbunny1000 even worse

  • I found it to be about Alma idolizing the actress and wishing to be like her and refusing to recognize that Elizabeth is full of flaws just as she is because she only wishes to know the Elizabeth that was in plays/films she knows her by. Personally, I think that Bergman was exploring just so how complex individuals are and we only wish to see what we want to in people.

  • Help me, an immaginary male has felt me up, I'm being raped!

  • What song is it?

  • @sucramnormark

hi it is an original score by glasgow music/sountrack artists.(walkerandwilliam).ive called it " idiot in the( pantry)"

  • @fiftyquidvids oh okay. it's really nice!

  • For me this is the greatest film ever made, and I still don't understand it. But I see new things every time I watch.

  • @stile1973

I don't know if I can actually 'explain' something like this, but what I think the movie is about is how Elizabeth's personality, which was in a way 'stronger' than Alma's, slowly took over Alma's, through silence. They begun merging into one person, loosing individuality and needing each other more and more. I don't know, I think it is about that.

The photography of the film, the acting, the directing and the beauty of both actresses can make this film your favorite anyway :)

  • I didn't get one scene....the place where the nurse impersonates the actress to her husband....

What does he want to say?

  • @khalilidareos This film is about the merging of these women's souls. Alma means soul.

  • @khalilidareos that's just a fantasy that Alma has at a certain point, a dream sequence - one should doubt she really slept with the poor man

  • What song is that?

  • @thoMASTRO its by walkerandwilliam sountrack/music artists.

  • Great movie.

  • Great work! This song fits the images perfectly! Persona is a wonderful,breath-taking masterpiece! And liv Ulmann...My God,what an actress!!! (and Bibi as well!)

  • what song

  • @untrustus

i wrote it.you wanna song?ill write a sound score for anyone.

  • I wish this movie was on Criterion.

  • @hprdgn284 torrent it and then burn it using convertxtodvd, which can also be torrented.

  • My favorite movie in times

  • you chose great scenes for this really good trailer, good score too!

  • Great movie! Perfect.

Bergman was a genious. Bibi is my favourite actress. She is also the most beautiful woman in the movies ever.

  • This is the closest to perfection any film has come.

Great job on the trailer, I can't stop watching it.

  • He cought me this time again whilst I was trying not to get cought.

  • Bergman the Great!!

    Great Trailer!!!

    CliveX

  • Great edition!

    The song is perfect.

    Wonderful job.

  • Great montage. Editing's a bit shabby here and there, but overall a real neat homage to a top-notch film. And the music works perfectly!

  • one of my favorites

  • One of my favourite films of all time.

Sheer brilliance by Bibi, Liv and of course by Ingmar Bergman.

  • good music and nice trailer, maybe a bit too long but nonetheless a great effort!

  • Esta película es la prueba irrefutable de que el CINE ES ARTE. Simplemente maravillosa!

  • brilliant movie

but this trailer is just too long

  • Brilliant trailer. I've never seen a Bergman film I haven't liked, still got Wild Strawberries, Hour of the Wolf and The Silence waiting to watch too.

My favourite is Through a Glass Darkly.

  • Out of all Bergman's films that I can recall, Persona and Skammen are probably his most solid works.

  • @SadRefuge how about virgin spring? and seventh seal? both of them really have blown me away

  • This is Bergmans strangest film and i love it!

  • PERFECT!!

  • I wish I had seen any of his movies in theatre when they came out, but I discovered him when he was already dead :(

  • oh that would be incredible imagine that. seeing persona for the first time in a dark quiet theater.

  • Bergmans movies are all like a big "fuck off" to the rest of the "instant pleasure"-movies and shallow mindset of todays western society.

  • um..with all due respect,im a big bergman fan..but his movies at least had orthodox plot & characters full of life...but im also a jim jarmusch fan...movies like stranger than paradise or down by law are like a huge "fuck you..fuck off,im pointing at you..yes you scholars & philosophers..im not gonna give to you any hint of melodrama & no lesbo scenes for ordinary audiences,so if you people dont like it then fuck off",jim pretty much says "fuck off" to everybody always..actually..jaja..cheers!

  • I actually just meant that by making movies without robots who turn into trucks he forced people to actually think, I think you read a bit much into it ;)

  • That is exactly correct. I just finished watching an interview with him last night, and then watched the Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, and part of Persona. Bergman didn't just simply direct film, he painted it like an artist with a brush. It's painful to see the shit they call film directing and acting today in comparison .

  • I watched the same special on TCM last night. My favorite was Persona; it was very thought provoking and left me confused about some points of the film. It kept me up till 3 am just trying to figure it out!

  • I think confusion is part of watching Bergman's films! I have to say that I keep coming back to Wild Strawberries, it's still my favorite. The photography in that film is just genius.

  • Bibi is beautiful here. In some shots I see a resemblance to Scarlett Johanson. Bergman rules cinema.

  • beautiful!

  • Brilliant film.

  • this is marvelous! =)

I adore this movie and the music is very good too!

    thank you very much (L)

  • i watched the beginning of this in film study ... and it was oficcially the weirdest movie i have ever seen..

  • you haven't seen many movies

  • maybe not weirdest but weird, it's definietly true. Persona belongs to this group of movies which nobody knows one right interpretation.

  • I´m sorry! It´s totaly offtopic but, Talking about weird movies..Do you know about:1- a very weird movie about animals that killed people!? Reptiles and insects.... I saw it LONG time ago ..But I have this image of an european movie, And this other film , it´s like sketches.. there´s a scene on a subway(maybe) and there´s these very weird guys , one of them is very tall and has an very long arm..! and another sketch from the same film, the final one´s Death knoking on the ....|

  • One of the Faces of Death movies, maybe?

  • |...door and someone opens and Death sits down with them having lunch and tells all of them that It has ccome to take tell, to kill them!!...I really want to know the name of these movies..!! The 1st is maybe late 80s/early 90s, and the 2nd´s 00s I think!! Anyone, please!! ;)

  • The last one you talked about, the one in which Death comes and has lunch with all this people , it can be Monty Python's Meaning of Life.
