@greegarrett1 Obviously its not in a car dumbass. I'm just letting people know incase some think this is the actual acceleration speed. But thanks for responding jackass.
GM did this car right! charcoal gray cts-v is what id want and im due for a new car in the next 2 years so if the "new" 300c srt8 doesnt shape up soon, then hello GM!!
i dunno if u seen the new 300 model, to me this current gen looks WAAY better, i really don't like the new 300 concept, its just like acuras new "look" can't stand em,
I hate to say but a four door that does 175+ mph & handles well from america HAS to be something noteworthy. Ive read it even bests the M5 for 20+K less. If life is good to me I'll be importing one to australia come 2009. We shall see & if life is that good, im thinking charchoal grey lol.
What do you mean "too bad"? better look up the history of cadillac. cadillac is a name that rivals mercedes, and bmw, even more so. they have been around LONGER than bmw, and they made the first 16cylinder engine back in the 1930's. they are working hard to bring the honor back to the badge. p.s., look at top gear's "roadtrip across america", you will see james driving the caddy for under 1k. it was the ONLY car that had a WORKING air conditioner.
caddy used to be the pinacle of perfection. Time changes things, Merc BMW & audi used to be at the top of reliability but more recently Cadillac has surpassed them in that category little known to the public. I love the cts-v its king for now, who knows the germans my have something nice up their sleeves or fail miserably. Most auto journalists are staunch Germanophiles so it doesnt supprise me when they still want an M3/5 over a caddy that does better for less. Even the BRITS love it.
Caddy's are not more reliable than most European cars. I work in a shop and I see more cadillacs with problems than any other make. Those problems range from serious to not serious, and effect almost every part of their cars. Out of all the newest models of cars out there the escalade is one of the worst. The body panels are crap, all those little gadgets break down, or break off. I know nothing about the cts-v though. Hopefully it is a change. But don't kid yourself, caddy's have problems.
Cadillac topped BMW and Audi for vehicle reliability in 2008 and the CTS-V was offered 4th quarter 08 as a 09 model. So while the older caddys do have issues which I do adknowledge this says nothing of the current offering. Not to mention such euro snobbery will put your mechanics children thru college, & the caddy almost ends up about 20K less than its competitors, so in regard to caddys having problems-oh yea. Jury is still out on this one given u find JD power & associates credible.
JD p &a doesn't mean shit. Strong lobbying can win anyone anything. CREAM. Also, the day you actually work in a shop, and can back up your opinions with actual experience, get back to me.
Any one can claim they work in a shop. And I like how suddenly JD & Associates suddenly is NOT credible just so it suits your stance. Okay dude. Untill you see a massive influx of 08/09 Caddys w/issues then you can bash them. Lemme guess you do right ? lol
All I'm saying is there is more politics in those systems than most people know. And yes, I do work in a shop. I am working my way through school. But whatever man, done here.
Crybabies voting down my comment on it being a Cadillac, geez. You guys better be thankful that YOU (taxpayers) are subsidizing GM's bailout this week. No wonder you like the CTSV, you have to...we're all paying for it.
What the hell does that mean? The CTS won MT's Car of the Year award and has now won one of C&D's 10 Best Cars awards 2 years in a row. It is just as good as the cars in its class. And GM won't stop until Cadillac's entire line-up is as good as the new CTS/CTS-V.
I can picture cadillac going "yay, we finally did it, the CTS-V is out!" Week later. BMW annouces the all new twin turbo ///M5 and Mercedes-Benz the all new E63AMG with a kompressor/supercharger.
funny. BMWs next M5 is rumored to have a twin turboed v8 from the m3, and the E63 will just port the engine from the c63 which is not turbo but has 505 hp, but who knows the bi-turboed the s65, I def could see this happening for the next 2 years till the us government releases there new gas consumpution regulations, and america back in the 80's were its about economy not performance.
Funny some people still hate this car when it beats it's BMW, and even Audi competitor for in some cases half the price. Finally Cadillac Owners can say they own a Cadillac with pride.
Just to let everyone know this is not realistic. 110 in 5 seconds? uhhh no.

Retard

Retard retard retard.
Most Audi, BMW, or merc owners fix their shit at dealers.
Cadillac owners go to side shops, unless v-series owners.
The v-series cadillacs are very efficient, but the none v-series arent as reliable.
Same with benz, Audi and bmw. The super versions are more reliable, but others break down alot.
They is no way a bmw or audi is more reliable than cadillac.
melvinifudu 2 years ago
By that do you mean too bad it's still out of your price range? Too bad you still drive a scion!

CTS-V A++++

Ha, I like how the lateral G meter reads to 1.02 G's then stops.
A friend of mine wrecked his CTS-V. It went through a fence and into a tree.
When we checked the G-meter, it read 1.07 G's.
Oops.
