its interesting how almost all modern songs revolve around the riff, that hook, the combination of notes that throughout most effectively captivates your attention and imagination, and makes you really feel the music. and whats interesting is lost horizon can essentially build a song, an entire song off of these brief moments of musical intensity. the result is a 9 minute song that feels short and beautiful. while projecting such impact, i found this band very recently ... and i am impressed.

I for one am against any kind of comparisons between bands, but for those fans of LH who tend to say 'fuck Rhapsody' everywhere like angry teenagers, think about this: Rhasody is one of the biggest inflluences of Lost Horizon, and if you doubt it, the proof is on the booklets of the LH CDs, or in any interviews with Wojtek. So if you dislike the band that's your choice, but at least learn Respect.

Lost Horizon, Rhapsody, Virgin Steele and Blind Guardian created many amazingly epic masterpieces.
