It is not an American/jamaican hairstyle - it originated in Africa many centuries ago.

I am not racist, homophobic or any other isms but the style is everywhere and has seriously lost its appeal and trendiness. It is now often so overstyled in a typically modern way that it sometimes looks like a wig glued to the head.

It is also true to say that it does not suit many white people and often the one's who choose it are ugly....LOL.

BTW - I have seen corn row wigs for sale in Nigeria/Guinee/Gambia and Ghana - they look pretty strange but people still buy them.
