Most people applied for their bad loans around 2001-4. Housing market went up around 2005 and house values increased about 50k & up. But part of the issue is still de-regulations of companies. Not just Democrats- low-incomes but also Republican policy of de-regulations. (they had the senate and Bush in both houses not to enforce regulations) So it is both their faults. Not 1. Both of them made US Americans loose their houses and money.

It is a simple process to rate a person's votes on issues and determine a ranking for liberal vs. conservative, or libertarian vs. statist, etc. National Journal ranked Obama as the most liberal in 2007. While I am an Obama supporter, I have to agree that it is annoying when people talk about the top 1% getting breaks. We pay so much more in taxes every year. Under a flat tax we would pay more. Under the current system, our tax rate goes up. It's not like I get mroe out of the government than people who earn less, yet I pay more than ten times what most people pay. Barack Obama is 2nd on the list of those who have been at the trough of PAC money. I may be mistaken, but I believe the new rule that allowed a minority of 41 to block legislation in the Senate happened AFTER the demos got control. In any event, the basic rule in the Senate is majority, not 60. 60 is only needed to bypass a filibuster. Are you saying the dems filibustered legislation to address the Freddie and Fannie problem in 2003? I don't claim to know, but I do not believe that to be true. As far as the idiot comment, I guess I have to lower myself to typical liberal discourse on youtube because it is 99% emotional talking points based on what they heard on the daily show or the like. Not looking up voting records or taking an actual responsible voting stance, but relying on news celebrities and a clearly unjust political machine that is the liberal biased majority media.

It's funny you have an impression of YouTube liberals as emotional and taking opinions and facts from biased media without thought; I have the same view of most YouTube "conservatives" (I use quotes because I don't think of their views as meeting the dictionary definition of conservative). I think in reality most YouTubers, whether left or right, are ignorant, adopt talking points, and don't think much.

What failed in these Democratic controled housing institutions giving morgages and lines of credit to unworthy people who don't pay bills or have an income to support their plastic lifestyles. The rich already pay 90% of taxes why should they be bailing out this mess. Why don't you look into the contributions by fannie and freddie to Obama. in 143 day in office they gave him over 103,000 dollars. McCain was number 40 on the list.

Obama has already started campaign reform by supporting his campaign with mostly small donors. 2.5 million small donors.

Barack Obama is 2nd on the list of those who have been at the trough of PAC money. Obama has only been in Washington D.C. for four years but has received more money than long term representitives in the Senate and Congress. McCain is around 40th. McCain got ZERO from PACs, but $21,550 from individuals.
