I keep my bike (not motorized) inside my house, so I have almost no risks of being robbed (my house has loads of alarm sensors inside and outside the house). My bike is right behind me, in my computer room. You should do that if you can, store the bike inside your house. You could also avoid you bike being stolen by investing heavily on a high-end locking system. Titanium locker and very thick high-grade steel chain. I think that not even a hydraulic cutter would beat this setup.
At one point this bike was on my patio. When I moved to this place there was no where to put it. If you put this inside with in an hour the whole place would smell like gas. Had to of been an inside job. It was covered, locked, behind a car and in a specific area that isnt very traveled. I have a feeling I know who was involved with taking it.
