The dance is from Lerin, created to celebrate the sweet taste of liberation from the Turks before Macedonia was screwed (or) more politely partitioned ( thanks to Britain & the Balfour agreement ) and many real people- Macedonians were murdered. So, Macedonians who dance this also share that "feel more Greek" feeling, but it's more to do with being a reminder for them to be careful who they trust & to not drop the soap in a mens shower or business. Florina's got nice coffee shops.

Ironically the military time reflects the influence of Turkish brass bands. Try searching Pushteno. Macedonians were robbed by the Bucharest Treaty in 1913 & are still subject to Greek ethnic cleansing.
Also ironically, the Bible calls Alexander, king of Macedonia.

Even that Philip , Alexander and maybe the hole macedonian elite in the antiquity was educated in the greek culture this doesnt' means that all Macedonians are greeks.
