I would call this a decent to good tank for bigger fish like this. I wouldn't add any more though- and I wouyld do plenty of water changes. I still like plain oscars best.

ummm no VV plecos are very bad fish to eat even if its an oscar but i have seen a pacu eat half of a pleco......and i have a 55gal with one oscar 2catfish a clown loach and 2 plecos what else should i get.(not a chiclid)only oscar chiclid

@ibrushmyteethdaily , i reccoment you get a plecostomas but make sure he isnt under 5 inches because if you get one smaller the oscar will kill it. the oscar needs 2 learn 2 respect the pleco before he gets big.

no it's fine. Just not to much. I have two golden oscars and I give them feeders maybe once every week or two. Try giving them the dried shrimp it's full of protein and doesn't make the tank cloudy.

My oscar hurts it's head all the time. It bashes it head on something and makes sores. Is this common for them to do that?? I check ammonia often and the tank is cycled good now. I just don't know why he ended ups with sores all the time. My oscar is not very big and has plenty of room.

Great looking fish and tank and plenty of room to let them pair up. Do you know if you have a pair yet? It has been many years since I kept Oscars at that time the only way to find out was to wait till they grew up and formed pairs naturally. Good luck! Oscars are great fun especially feeding time!

I wish i could have nice decorations in my oscar's tank. I used to have a couple plants and pieces of driftwood but i'd leave the room for 5 minutes and he'd pull up the plants.
