because his father was the greatest icon of the 21st century. when i was on the Mall grounds in DC for the new year 2000 celebration, they flashed images of well known stars from the past century on the video screen. some of them got a reaction from the million plus crowd. bruce lee's image got a deafening roar.

But as his mother said in an interview Brandon sometimes felt like hi was living in his fathers shadow not being able to live his own life and have his own career.
If you interview a person the first thing you ask the person about is: how are your career? How are you? Tell me about YOUR life.
Not: "your father is bruce lee; how is that? what do you feel about that? How was his career?" etc.

Brandon Lee is an icon to so many people. The man is OFTEN imitated, but never duplicated. He's just one of those actors who burst onto the scene in his breakthrough role as Eric Draven, only to have life tragically cut short. But honestly, he practically died in the full Gothic get-up and yet Goths are slowly forgetting about him, its terrible.

They were both 28 years old when they passed away.

In their last completed films they both play major comic book characters. All of us watched the Crow and Batman after the actors untimely demise so both movies had far more meaning to us.
There are striking physical similarities and makeup of their characters eg both the Crow and the Joker have white faces.
