When I was on the streets, every few days this dude that used to work for the military would emerge from the woods to come eat dinner with us. He decided to live off the grid. I knew of about 4 people in the forest but none of them would hang out because they didn't want someone fucking with their camps or ratting on them. Generally people that want to be homeless are on drugs, or just fucking hate the way America works and live wherever they want. They're all generally really cool.
It's sad that a lot of people in the world have don't have any compassion for homeless people. Not all homeless people are alcoholics or drug addicts. And even if they are they are, it probably helps them deal with their day to day life on the streets. Because one day you might lose everything and be without a place to live and you wouldn't want people to treat you like that

Until you have been on the streets you have no fucking idea man. From forgotten veterens, to people who had their houses burnt down and shit like that, there are all kinds of people out there that are willing to work and want to get back on their feet. I was homeless for a month, and thankfully got a friend to get me a plane ticket to somewhere I could get a job, but it was fucked up, and I was very lucky. surviving out there.
