  • I play this in my 6th grade beginning band. This song is amazing

  • Hitler, has only got one ball!

  • Cowshit, it makes the grass grow green! Horseshit it does the same damn thing! Horseshit,or is it cowshit and horseshit combined! What a great rendition from WWII American Rangers!

  • I hate with all my being to the UK but I must admit, I respect their armed forces ...

  • @yomegayo Oh god, what have we done now??? ;D

  • @Hindenburg12886 No no, excuse me I'm wrong I do not hate the UK HATE with all my soul to the government, the people not to blame for what the government once in power (I know from experience ¬ ¬)

So theoretically you did nothing haha

    Greetings.

  • @yomegayo Ah, fair enough!

  • I like it because it sounds good, doesn't it?! <3

  • I love this march we play it at cadets and I love marching to it, it's fun nd catchy nd I can't wait to learn it on snare :D

  • Anybody who knows the significance of this march will also know the unofficial accompanying lyrics:

Göring has only got one ball

    Hitler's are so very small

    Himmler's so very similar

And Goebbels has no balls at all

  • 2 dislikes? Who would dislike like this? It's very catchy. Makes me want to march.

  • @MixtursahProductions hipster faggot

  • Horseshit, it makes the grass grow green; cowshit, it does the same damn thing. Horseshit....or is it cowshit...or is it horseshit and cowshit combined?"

  • @werwr4 your a tit that knows f all about wot happened in the far east during ww2 ur a moron

  • @tvamp88 fuck face, i learned that from one of your brits. dont get butthurt.

  • @werwr4 well your mates no brit if he slags of col bogey how wud u feel if we disst all ur US marine tunes hav some common sense mate .

  • @tvamp88 we do, lol. even in the military we do. my mom and dad were both army. we make fun of the songs all the time. your point is invalid.

  • @tvamp88 youre the moron, these were infamous lyrics made up by british soldiers during ww1 it's kind of a joke

  • @BombBakers im ex forces mate and if we disrespected the attrocities that happened in europe as muich as what col bogey now represents there would be an outcry or have we all got to watch wot we say about the japs

  • The "Marches" website offers this very cool insight into the music itself: "Colonel Bogey was inspired by a military man and golfer who whistled a characteristic two-note phrase (a descending minor third interval) instead of shouting “Fore!” It is this phrase that begins each line of the melody."

If flygweilo is right about "Col. Bogey" also being Alford's/Ricketts's CO (see below), the band must have had a chuckle whenever they played it -- even without the lyrics.

  • 1:08, it hurts when you played tuba for less than a year. 0.0

  • Hitler—he only had one ball

Göring—had two, but they were small.

    Himmler—had something similar.

But Doctor Goebbels had no balls at all!

  • @jourdansaintyves

Hitler has only got one ****

The other is in the Albert Hall

    Himmler is very similar

But poor old Goebells has no ****s at all!

These were the words my dad taught me!

  • hitler has only one ball

stalin has two but very small

    himler has similar

    and goeballs

    has no balls at all

  • Find it kind of interesting that the title for this song apparently stems from golf

  • makes me proud 2 be part of the uk from northern ireland u see

  • @haterofterrorism Where abouts?

  • @dsmcknight95 lurgan everbody hates lurgan lol

  • My great great grandfather wrote this :) I am so proud to be part of his family!

  • @thereisahigherpower1 yeah right

  • @LUKEDARTmovies I'm not joking! I guess i can't prove it to you over youtube, but if i knew you, i could show you my family tree, heirlooms etc...Plus, i can probably answer any question about him within reason by asking my grandparents...try me if you want :)

  • churchill is a fat one ball

  • anyone may guess whos the one single dislike:D someones pissed for only having got one ball:D

  • @lukimahle Or maybe that guy above you're comment ._.

  • a fine rendition of perhaps alfords best march - alford/ricketts in britain, sousa in the usa, teike in germany were all top notch march composers - the debate goes on as to which one was the best - but it's like comparing apples to oranges to whatever - sousa gets the title of march king only by the sheer number of quality marches that he wrote but their all deserving of the title in their own countries i believe - here's to all of them!

  • the very best fills you with pride british band music

  • the very best fills you with pride

  • the very best

  • lol no dislikes :)

  • Bridge on the river Kwai

  • Bullshit, it's all the band can play, bullshit, they play it night and day...

  • @thenutintheushanka18 ...For some odd reason this post made me howl with uproarious laughter!!

  • @sparkyization It has that effect. Does anybody know how the rest of it goes?

  • @thenutintheushanka18 " ... the rest of it?" Just hit "replay" ;-D rofl!

  • @sparkyization No, i mean the rest of the lyrics to the "Bullshit" version.

  • tumbs up if you had a relitive in the 8TH army desert rats

  • this march is american or from the UK???? =(

  • @nestorap95 It was written for the Royal Marines in 1914.

  • @thenutintheushanka18 yeah ... thank you =)

  • Hitler has only got one ball.

Bluebells has only two but small.

    Himmler has something sim'ler.

Goering has no balls at all.

  • This is played at the correct tempo - it's an infantry quick march. It's usually played too slow.

  • To the 14th Army, not forgotten anymore.

  • Dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink

Dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink

Dink dink dink dink dink dink dink

Dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink

  • STUPENDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • could I have a link to download some of your military tunes please?

  • Lyrics attributed to journalist Edward Donough "Toby" O'Brien.

  • irkibby Yes that's why you want to hold onto us...at least we know who we are you German sausage...You've been screwed so many times from European countries you are bastardised race, hence the reason you don't have a national dress or song like the rest of the worlds countries. Another ten years and you lot will have a muslim name!!

  • Lyrics: Hitler, has only got one ball, Himmler has to, but very small. Mussolini, his balls are teeny, and poor old Göring has no balls at all.

  • @ZuperZeize Alternative version:

Hitler, has only got one ball, Goring, has 2, but very small, Himmler, has something similar, and poor old Goebbels has no balls at all.

I think that one sounds better, with Himmler rhyming with similar, and Goebbels almost rhyming with no balls.

  • Hitler has only got one ball,

The other is in the Albert Hall

    His mother, the dirty bugger,

Chopped it off when he was small.

She threw it, into the apple tree

The wind blew it into the deep blue sea

Where the fishes got off their dishes and ate scallops and bollocks for tea

  • "Hitler has only got one ball! :)

  • we sang a saucy version of this march back in the BDF and Cadet Corps

Hitler he had only one ball

The other is in the generals hall

The butler who was his father

Could not remember Hitler at all.

  • I'd like to suggest another fine march for your listening pleasure. "Marsz Rzeczpospolita"......No, I can't pronounce it but it's WELL worth hearing and it's on YouTube. a Polish march.

  • FREE SCOTLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BigWoodyAllen

Yeah. That's about all that Scotland is worth.

  • I realize this is a British march folks....Written in 1914 by Lt. Frederick Joseph Ricketts. retired as a major. I've known this since we played it in my high school band. Sorry you got the wrong impression. Actually I rather like The Black Dyke Mills Band playing Sousa marches.....great gusto.

  • 5 balls between the lot of them!

  • @NorthernerMatty123 don't worry mate all the americans think they own the marches and their bands play them better

  • thought it was hangin in the albert hall?? Lest we forget!

  • thought it was hangin in the albert hall??

  • lol my ice cream van has this tune :D

  • Popular lyrics to this beautiful march :- Hitler has only got one ball, Goering has two but very small, Himmler is somewhat similar But poor Goebbels has no balls at all.

I don't mean to hurt or insult anyone .

    It is just very funny

  • Way too slow!

  • @nmatavka The U.S. version is much faster than this, I think the britisah version is nicer with a slower pace.

  • @TheDonutFox ...that "thing" under the heading of "American Victory March" is a caricature of the way the march is played in the USA. I don't know what the problem is with that video but it's a terrible, distorted example of this march. Over here it's played at the same tempo as the one now playing...

  • @TheDonutFox This is the way it was made to be done.

  • @thebigJM92 i agree very much so.

  • 25th Infantry Division, "Tropic Lightning"!!

  • I have this on nintendogs and its makes the dogs march around.....LOL XD

  • God bless all previous military personnel and obviously the military personnel serving around the world today, whether it be in the Army, Navy or Air Force, all fight for a common cause, to maintain our safety and protection; for which, I believe they deserve our utmost respect! Rule Britannia and God Save The Queen.

  • god save the queen!

    greetings from Japan

  • zzahier u rok luv the song

  • I was at summer camp one year and my Scoutmaster had all of us in the Troop whistle this on our way to dinner one day.

  • In school we had to line up each morning and troop into school. In 8th grade we would whistle this tune each time. I did a lot of detention that year but it was worth every minute of it.

  • hitler, has only got one ball!

  • @HerrHat Goerirg has two,but they are very small!

  • @tukidream Himmler, had something simmler! :D

  • @louimann1 But poor old Goebbels had no balls at all!

  • @HerrHat the other, is the orange hall, hitler has only got one ball, but osama has no balls at all xD

  • @HerrHat

Goring had two but very small.

    Himmler had something similar,

  • @ThomasMelberStgt Today, we get along just fine. Because you'd get fucked up again if you tried anything, we've got America, Nato, and the EU now ;)

  • To the British armed forces.

    Duty Honour Sacrafice

  • one of great's

  • The pep in this song is amazing. I really one of those tunes that make you burst with patriotism, and put a smile on your face. Weather or not your British or American. :)

  • I've got some English ancestors in the woodpile among other European ancestors.

  • I SAY! PIP PIP CHEERIO AND ALL THAT ROT!

  • @luckyday465768 I'm sorry to disabuse you of that notion but the "Colonel Bogey March" was written by Lieutenant Frederick Joseph Ricketts of the British Army in 1914 under the nom de plume "Kenneth Alford" . Yes it IS a British march. I'm American, incidentally, but those are the facts. Ricketts retired as a Major.

  • @SpeedyNeutrino43 Don't worry, the Yanks usually get it wrong anyway, Lol.

  • @luckyday465768 No ... it's British.

The tune "Colonel Bogey" was written by Kenneth Alford, the nom de plume of Major (Lieutenant, at the time) Frederick Joseph Ricketts of HM Royal Marines.

Ricketts took the name Alford so he could publish his marches despite Army Regulations; he was Bandmaster in Fort George outside Inverness in Scotland when he wrote "Colonel Bogey" about his Commanding Officer, who wasn't any good at golf.

  • the Union flag is upside down.

  • @OHCLOUDSUNFOLD, Not if the flagpole is on the left hand side it is'nt.

  • Written by a true Argyll

  • Hitler has only got one ball, Goering has two but very small Himmler has something similar And poor old Goebbels has no balls Hitler has only got one ball The other is in the old town hall His mother, the dirty bugger She cut it off when he was small She threw it right over Germany It landed into the deep blue sea The fishes brought out their dishes And they had scallops and bollocks for tea
  • @darthgrahf lol

  • Lieutentant F. J. Ricketts produced a masterpiece back in 1914 when he wrote this. I suppose that would be "Leftentant" if you're a Brit.

  • @SpeedyNeutrino43

We still spell it like you do, but we pronounce it differently.

And noone knew hitler back then so ???

  • Dink Dink

  • At one time I thought this movie was shot on the Mekong River but I later found out that most of it was filmed in Ceylon....now Sri Lanka.

  • @centurianmk6 And My Dad!! proud of him!!

  • @GERMANOPHILE Proud and no doubt did not speak of it. My Auntie had a son by another man whilst he was away. He looked after him as though he was his own. On coming home she saw him in the bath with a scar all the way down his back. When asked what he had done he replied, "I lent on a bamboo tree too long." He had been samuried for stealing potatoes for the men. I have nothing but respect for them. Thankyou for replying.

  • @centurianmk6 My those men never be forgotten

  • Sousa came close, but you just can't beat Alford.

  • I love Alford marches

  • Hitler, has only got one ball

Goering has two but very small

    Himmler is rather sim'lar

and Joeseph Goebbels has no balls at all

marsz pulkownika bogey'a- Irina Bogdanovich has true balls:-))

  • COMET, IT MAKES YOUR HAIR TURN GREEN

    COMET, IT'S MADE OF LISTERINE

    COMET WILL MAKE YOU VOMIT

SO GET SOME COMET TO VOMIT TODAY

That's how I remember this song--from my grade school years.

  • No one can listen to this march without feeling uplifted. March for march Kenneth Alford was better than Souza.

In a bad mood? Feeling down? Just play this tune. The catchiest march ever written. 5 Stars.

  • This tune is always played at my town's Rememberance Sunday Parade.

Everyone automatically marches in time with it! :D

  • this was written by the Director of Music for the Royal Marines in 1914...

  • sorry, my mistake, I've often assciated it with the US for it has that sort of (correct me if I'm wrong) American take on things.

  • no problem, it was based of a golfing British officer. Have a look at the wiki article.

  • I Love This Song, It In My Mind Represents Freedom.

  • When I was in the US Army back in '84 we actualy spontaniously broke into the whistling version of this while martch on our way to a parade. It was hilariouse!
