  • effing EPIC

  • somebody call my mama!

  • Everyone forgets that The Natural Butch Reed used this theme also

  • What? Really?

  • If One Man Gang is from "deepest darkest Africa" then New Jack is Irish and Parts Unknown is actually Chyna's crotch.

  • he looks like the guy from indi anna jones lmao

  • the last match i seen his charcacter play he went back to 1man gang and he wrestled a frauded wrestler named mark von eric when they wrestled in Nacogdoches Tx at the expo center. and that was in mid 1997-1999

  • how many you have for download?

  • @ShreveportConnection If you message me your email address, I can email you this theme if you wish.

  • being born in 1982(explain me name) I would say the best wrestling was between 1988-2002

  • give me some beans and cornbread with this theme and don't skip the fried chicken.

  • this was also the big boss man them before he turn face and used hard times

  • 2 who disliked are jive soul bros who never get nuthin in the end!

  • Sounds like Rappers Delight kinda

  • I liked this song

  • Sounds like the chorus says "An asshole pro" instead of "jive soul bro"...which, given the gimmick, fits it more.

  • Best/funniest gimmick EVER!

  • John Cena 20 years before John Cena.

  • Akeem is one of my least favorite characters of all times...I think it was his horrible ring attire.

  • the african pimp, who happens to be white

  • @apark02 he was meant to be from South Africa.

  • slick sing this song in raw old school

  • agreed

  • One Man Gang was his best.

  • Akeem left WWF just before the 1990 survivor series, he was scheduled to be on SGT Slaughters team, but was replaced with Boris Zukoff.

  • Those 2 people who DISLIKE this are nothing but JIVE SOUL BROS and they'll NEVER get NOTHIN' in the end!

  • This track actually could of been a minor commercial hit... could of been apart of some of them old mainstream hip hop tracks in the 80s like sugarhill gang etc.

  • JIm Johnston REALLY pulled the hat out for this one. Jive for a wrestler and it WORKS! Great tune.

  • This song definitely fit Akeem, but it didn't fit his former tag team partner Big Boss Man.

  • @rocker316ify It was Slick's music

  • @HollywoodKendrick I know. I mean that it fit Akeem too because he used to dance to it as well.

  • Skeem had bad ass song!! Made me wanna dance like him!

  • reminds me of Sam The Sham

  • acompanied by his manager..the doctor of style Slick..AHHHH-KEEEEEEMMMM!!! classic

  • Akeem is from the darkest parts of Africa. He's so black he's white.

  • He looks like Billy Mays only fatter...

  • ONE MAN GANG & AKEEM!

  • @WWEFan7786

Exactly, I hate when people say Godfather made this gimmick work but they'll lying to themselves. This man made pimping in the WWF cool! He didn't need a "ho" he made us like him with his theme music!

  • Lowsy gimick, great song.

  • FUNNY AS HELL GIMMICK!!!!

  • This could be the new rick roll

  • Shit Slick is still stuck in the seventy, naaah just kidding, enjoyed Slick always got his ass kicked, but Slick is a jive turkey.

  • haha thats my name

  • Amen to that statement! I miss the old school WWF wrestlers! Stone Cold Steve Austin pretty much changed the face of wrestling!

  • @billbalester

    for the worst.

  • Akeem was a superior gimmick to One Man Gang. I was always a big fan of Akeem. The sight of Slick and the African Dream dancing was hilarious. I loved both their characters and this theme song is awesome. I miss this era of the "WWF" very much.

  • @DarthCipient Just like Gang was transformed to Akeem by magic, they should have transformed Papa Shango to Godfather that way, without those crap 'Kama' gimmicks in between.

  • Technically this was Slick's theme. Most of Slick's men at the time came down to this theme, from Butch Reed to Bossman to Akeem

  • Yes even Rick Martel used this theme when he first left strike force.

  • This theme rules!

  • one of the best themes in this era...ahead of its time

  • :) Akeem/One Man Gang KICKS ASS! I've seen his penis!!!!!

  • no Photo available?

  • @psychologirl you poor thing! LOL

  • i know my head hurt ALL NIGHT!

  • Yes right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Akeeeeeem the afircan dreeeaaaam!

  • you a jive soul bro a jive soul bro and you always lyin to your friends, you a jive soul bro a jive soul bro and you never get nothing in the endddd

  • Man I haven't heard this in ages. I don't remember it sounding this cool, but heck it's sure making me feel all groovy wanting to bob my head. Much props to Akeem and Slick!!

  • I think i can say without a shadow of a doubt that this theme is THE BEST theme past, present and quite possibly future in pro wrestling.

We need more themes of this quality today...

  • I can´t remember any southafrican wrestler that has competed in WWF/E xD

  • what does imo stand for?

  • you racist

  • the commenter right below me is a retard.

  • This guy had the moves 2 go along with this theme :) great entertainer :)

  • The only man that you can't challenge to a STRUT-OFF

  • I miss Slick.

  • I mis the Revered of Style too

  • oh yeah and I forgot that arsenio is saying to slick: he shooked my hands, I´m not seeing in the ghetto yet. hahahahaa lol

  • I love the twintowers at arsenio hall, and the intro film they show, before they come, when you see slick and akeem dance before the referee, while boss man is fighting. hahahaha lol

  • One of the most entertaining heels

  • Yeah Twin Towers!

  • Akeem the african dream rules !!!!!

  • THE AFRIKAAN DREAM!!!!!!

  • SLICK RULES !

  • thats the doctor of styles jam i remeber akeem was the 747

  • As far back as i remember. The wrestler known as Akeem the African, dream was once known as The One Man Gang. Tough Wrestler, Cool Song from the glory days of the WWF.

  • scumbag

  • "Turn out the lights, the party's over." The Doctor of Style Slick.

  • I usually hate silly gimmicks like this but I loved Akeem. It's a pity he and BBM never got a tag title push!

  • Who cares about the tag team title? They got a feud with Hogan and Savage in 88/89. You couldn't get any bigger as a heel

  • They also feuded with Demolition for the tag belts in '89...

  • I WISH I WAS HALF AS COOL AS AKEEM.

  • The Akeem Gimmick was funny as kid... Now that I am grown... It's not so funny... Entertaining nontheless!

  • I don't know what was funnier, Akeem doing this jive hand movements to show off the funk of his character, or Gorilla Monsoon saying, Here comes Akeem with the Slickster!"

  • LOL. Some of the lamest lyrics I've ever heard. Undoubtedly, it was composed by middle-aged white men perched in an office tower. I'm saying that -- and I'm white! Hilarious gimmick, though.

  • Akeem The African Dream , Twin Towers rules !

  • You should see the video for this. The "big woman" Slick's referring to was TALL AS HELL in the vid lol

(Actually, I think it was just the camera angle, but still lol)

  • "well i met this lady and told her quite a story said i love her forever more, but the trouble is i tell the same ole story to every girl that walks through the door" lol i have said that too, i guess thats me a jive soul bro. thanks slick good memories.

  • You rule!!!!

    Wrestlingthemetunes

  • I have the Wrestlemania anthologies on dvd and on the 1st one, I believe Slick was in Wrestlemania 3 and 4 and I wanna say 5 (not sure) but when the Slickster came out this song wasn't playing. It was some lame ass other track. This track is sooo cool!! I haven't heard this in years!! I miss the old days of the WWF(E).

  • Well WWE does to a lot of tha theme songs especially when they re release DVDs.VHS like that. They did that with several ECW dvds they changed tha themes and commentary which sucks but hey

  • indeed!!

  • gotta love this song

  • Bring back Slick!!!! lol

  • Wat a fucking song

  • What an awesome, catchy song.

Boy, remember when the WWF had great music like this? And like Mr. Perfect's, and the music of Brutus Beefcake, Ted Dibiase, etc.? Now it's all this nu-"metal" crap. Young untalented idiots screaming at the top of their lungs. That's considered music now. Meh.

  • @iAMcooooooool

Isn't there only like 2-3 guys doing all the music in the WWF since the 80's the same ones composing the music now?

  • @Rimsa

Jim Johnston is the one mainly writing the entrance songs, but in recent years he's no longer the one solely responsible for the entrances, as many different bands new seem to have taken his place. He's still working for the WWF now I believe, but not as involved in the music as before, as the plethora of awful music now proves.

  • one man gang :)

  • which one is better akeem or one man gang?

  • what do you mean.. they are both the same guy :P

  • they are not the same guy. Akeem has more style than one man gang. Akeem is actually a pound heavier than one man gang...yea.

  • ?? You must be kidding right.. yeah you are probably right, the fact that both Akeem and One Man Gang is played by a man George Gray born same date in same town is just a coincidence. Stop acting as if you are retarted.. its shines through. go to bed bitch lollollol

  • Come on....thats what they WANT you to think....Thats not the One Man Gang...thats AKEEM....how about u tell Akeem that and see what happens tough guy.

  • i guess the guy is saying that Akeem is not the One Man Gang character wise. He probably knows that the characters are played by the same guy. I think the Akeem character was cool as hell lol

  • then he is retarded cause he misunderstood. He is a little prick and should be treated like one.

  • it is the same guy u fool..dont comment on wrestling subjects anymore

  • shit ma name is akeem and 0i am named after a wrestler :)

  • Slick is the best manager ever larry sweeney from ROH reminds me of slick just natraul charisma u just gotta love and they find it easy 2 get over cause of it

  • I'm pretty sure this song is onthe wwe anthology cd

  • No it isn't. Instead, among some great themes, we get crap like Bertha Faye's theme, when they should've put this or the Demolition theme in its place.

  • Its not. I'm going to have to check it. Shit haven't listened to that cd in a good 8 years. Ahh the memories

  • u damn right, but what did u expect. these cd's been nothing but crap since number 5. still no hardyz theme, screwed up versions of entrance music wtf.

  • This guy works as a prison guard in real life now lol.

  • damn he is a one man gang.

  • were can i get this song

  • Hey look its one man gang!

  • Lol. Yeah slick was good manager and now hardly no managers. Just everyone for themselves.

  • Really catchy song, and Slick was one of wrestling's best all-time managers. Awesome promos too......I wish he would teach some of the guys today.

  • best eva

  • I was sad when I couldn't find this on itunes. Great theme

  • LMAO

  • Even though this was made and recorded in 1987, it was 1988 that this song got more attention.

  • Is this the song that the "Twin Towers", Akeem and The Big Boss Man, came out to at WrestleMania V? I'm just wondering cause whatever song they come out to on those videos is dubbed over with some generic crap.

  • Slick for WWE Hall Of Fame in 2009. JIVE SOUL BRO!

  • Agreed

  • Rather catchy tune isnt it.

  • Man i love this song,it makes wanna dance.I have to listen to it atleast once a day.

  • yup he did

  • didnt akeem use to do some like funky dance with his hands and stuff?

  • thats right

  • This song was sick for 1987......

  • How funky is this song???

  • this theme was the shit

  • this theme is the shit

  • The Twin Towers Entrance Theme

    Big Boss Man an Akeem

  • It's "Jive Soul Bro" performed by The Doctor of Style Slick for the Wrestling Album II: Piledriver. Too cool!

  • Go Akeem & Slick.

  • 1990 was the best wrestling year period.

  • THE WHOLE 90'S WAS THE BEST

  • I've just realised where Marge Simpson got her hair style from!

  • As much as I love this cool song, wtf are they singing in the chorus please... "guy so bro"??

  • Jive Soul Bro.

  • Ah! Finally I can sleep at night now! Thank you kindly Sir. :)

  • No problem

  • Ha! This is a bad ass mamma tune! I've been after this for some time. Wrestlingthemetunes, you are my new hero. x x x :)

  • No problem

    Thanks
