I'm the grey/white haired git in dark suit walking just in front of the bus. It was effing cold that day and the outside scenes were filmed at Kempton Park raceway. The inside scenes at Ascot. It was equally effing cold inside there too as the heating had been switched off. Lol.

Sorry to break it to you, but Virgin's uniforms back in the 80's actually really weren't that attractive. At all. It was like an air force uniform dipped in red.

This is a brilliant advert. I remember it all like it was yesterday, look at all those '80s icons- Leyland national bus, austin princess, miner's strike, yuppy braces, brick phones, rubicks cube, our price etc.

I worked as cabin crew for Dan-Air out of Gatwick in the 80's and this ad certainly brings back memories. We were all dead jealous of the Virgin crews uniforms - said to have been designed by Armani. Also, rumour had it, in the early days of Virgin Atlantic, Richard Branson held his staff Christmas party at his house- all welcome! Those were the days!!

This is a refereshing advert. Brings back happy memories of the 1980's (many good, some bad - unemployment particularly boo hoo). The first mobile phone call was not made until 1985 in the UK ,plus the miners strike was several months old in June 1984. Its a fantasy version of the 80s by someone who is probably not old enough to remember the time.
