  • You could play in Television

  • TELEVISION WOO

  • zero fret makes so much sence , suprised you don't see it more often ?

  • Its hard to tell on the videos but I was wondering Andy has his nail grown out for his finger picking style.

  • hey andy, nothing to do with the video, but i figured if id post it on a new video then youd most likely respond. your finger picking technique is an inspiration to me. i have spasticty in both my right limbs, so playing guitars not easy for me, however considering theres a real lot of videos of you on YT, you insired me to actually make an attempt at fingerpicking. i can barely get through a 2 bar riff, an i never will fingerpick like you, but your actually one of my main influences for guitar.

  • @DukeSecom I'm honored to be an influence to your guitar playing. I wish you all the best!

    -Andy

  • i was wondering when Andy was gonna tackle Television

  • those opening chords sounded wonderful. well done andrew, or as my friends south of the border might call you, "andres"!

  • marquee moon!

  • Never in a million years would I have thought a major company would actually be copying Teisco guitars. Blows my mind. Sounds great.

  • @Socioistic Tiesco copied Burns (this guitar is very close in looks to the original Marvin guitars made by Burns in the early 60s, copied about the same time by Tiesco)

  • not my style as far as the look of it. but sounds pretty good!

  • guitarist from wild beasts uses this guitar.

  • Television...Venus de Milo!

  • I have always loved and admired this guitar. It is a wonderful example of "I am what I am" a company that has its own sound and style. As cool as it gets..

  • I own a Burns GB65 (1963-1965, semi-hollow).

It sounds great clean with a little breakup on the neck pickup. Not meant for overdrive/distortion though..

    Anyone interested? Andy? (:

  • Mmm Tr-Sonics have a very unique sound. I guess Brian May thought so too!

  • @downwithdixie the pickups which Brian May had installed in his original home-made guitar were made and wound at home by him and his father. the tri-sonics just look similar

  • He started a demo for the Marquee Pro with a song from Marquee Moon, clever bastard.

  • Sounds like a really good Stratocaster with really bad wiring to me...

  • Piano-like sustain? Isn't that just average sustain?

  • Youve got to give it to Andy for playing like that with his fingers!

  • Anywhere y'all, Everywhere y'all...I heard it, I heard it...I heard it on the X

  • OMG ! Youtube HD screen is quite huge !

  • I recently saw the shadow's version of this guitar. That had a way more interesting and better looking tremolo system then this. That will probably be reflected in the price though...

  • Andy, did ya feel low?

  • It's the Pontiac Firebird of guitars.

  • am i the only one thinking the shadows? Hank Marvin?

  • Makes me want to play garage rock.

  • do you remember, back in 1966?!

  • wow! 3D headstock !

  • That headstock is so cool... and I like the Tri-Sonic pickups. May have to hunt one of these down and check it out!

  • 1st song: Television - Venus, you have very good taste in music, Andy.

  • I love to hear a real pick attack coming through those pickups.....sigh....

  • Hank Marvin has one of these

  • $1099 for a guitar that was originally a piece of crap and absolutely adored for it. I call shenanigans.

  • that is the weirdest thing i ever saw.... i love it, looks likes something jack white would play

  • @bluesBro18 Google image search a "Burns Bison" they look wild! Clearly trying to look "cowboy"... the most famous player was a guy called Hank Marvin. (you can also search "Burns Hank Marvin:" This new one captures a lot of the vibe!

  • I would love to support these smaller guitar companies but I am a slave to the names Fender and Gibson. At least I am for main guitars, but once I have my full guitar room I will be buying more of these wonderful guitars.

  • @acledfloyd Problem is - most of these "Burns London" guitars are made in China or Korea. You wouldn't be supporting a "smaller guitar company" the way you are thinking.

  • The side angle made the action of the guitar seem really high.

  • Wow, That guitar sounds incredible!

  • what lovely rich tones, may be 'ugly' but it sounds great

  • The new guitars that PGS promotes keep getting uglier.

  • This is a funky lookin guitar. I want it.

    =

  • This is the first non-Vigier guitar that I've seen which has a zero fret.

  • @Nooseybear I think you mean the first you've noticed. Quite a few Gretsch guitars and many others have had zero frets for decades. Certainly not a revolutionary idea.

  • Damn, Burns makes a good dream guitar candidate. Do you guys think you'll stock their 12 string variant? slash please do a review if you do.

  • Venus!!!

  • What an interesting pickguard and head stock.

  • AWESOME SOUND, iffy looks. Cool body color and knobs, AWFUL headstock

  • thats gotta be one of the ugliest headstocks ive ever seen... looks like a first act for $1,000

  • @TheCollisionofworlds I agree. The headstock looks pretty ugly. But damn that's some nice tone on the guitar.

  • @TheCollisionofworlds

it's actually a classic design, the shadows used it in the 60's. It was one of the few brands then that could hold up with the American giants Fender and Gibsons;)

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 classic or not its still ugly

  • @TheCollisionofworlds honestly, this is the first guitar I've ever seen that the sound of it made me overlook how disgusting its physial characteristics are. that being said, I'll bet that reddish orange ages REEEAALL nice.

  • @TheCollisionofworlds does a first act have a scroll headstock? if it does, i'll have one!

  • trippy tone. love the salmon color

  • I played this Burns at the NAMM show and it was by far one of the best new guitars I discovered at the show.

  • hey andy, are you in a band?

  • dude... this guitar looks nice and sounds amazing :D loved this one

  • Where's this one made?

  • @DarthSmittius London...?

  • @DarthSmittius made in mars

  • @DarthSmittius i think england

  • @DarthSmittius

    The web says China

  • 74th view

  • middle

  • last

  • first

  • UH! I love the Television at the beginning! Thats why i love your videos!

  • Thing is rock and roll, digg it!

  • Never really liked Burns guitars that much but damn those tones are pure 60's awesomeness... changed my opinion a bit about them.

  • Beautiful guitar
