I own these, made my own license plate bracket, I notice they dont have as good vertical visibility, so the way he has these mounted you will have reduced side visibility but good visibility in the vertical aspect of how they are installed. Most likely this is a recessed license plate and for that it will do just fine.
Nice setup:) Being that they're synched, what happens when you put it in steady burn mode, do they both stay on or is it just one side that lights up?
Put two of these on my license plate of an 06 CV, they were both destroyed in a rear and collision 3! days later. My agency didn't pay for it since they belonged to me, o well.
LIN3 are 3 LED's set in a single linear reflector with a non-optic outer lens specified for horizontal mounting. TIR3 are 3 LED's set in their own individual small round reflector each having its own individual optics specific for vertical or horizontal mounting.

you have to have the power relay/control box to make the lights work period unless you wire them right into the battery which would blow them because 12V is way too much for a led.

Lin3s have their own internal flashers and can sync to one another. They run directly off 12volt DC
andrewsim2003 4 years ago
did the flash relay come with the lights?
rdnecksupplee 4 years ago
do u need a special system for them to flash that way or all you need is the light themselves?

Whelens can go right from the battery. All of the knock-off's can too, just most of them require an external flasher.
