This seems very odd. Africans, who need love, and often more money, food, educational opportunities, talking about the BIGGER WORLD, when the Bigger world (American govt, European govt, etc) don't care about the Africans and only want to steal. Seems like Africans should care about themselves and say F the bigger world. Just my 2 cents
@gigagroove Africa was long time ago the place where countries had richer culture and knowledge than westerns has. The knowledge was stoled from them, they got cheated and enslaved for us. Now they have beeing ruined so many generations that we have easy way to control them. Use them for our purposes.
It is just sad that the "Ubuntu" is used as cover by corporations (like Canonical) to get a change to rule the others in free community how stuff is needed to be done and only for their purposes.
Great concept ! we can oppose this awesome African concept of the Being with the Cogito ergo sum of Réné Descartes who believe that he exists because of its own conscious , since we are all human we are definitly connceted together. Our African philosophers should investigate this interesting point of the african wisdom of Ubuntu ,books , thesis and studies should be made to enlight africans about their own amazing philosophical concepts , Iam pretty sure that Ubuntu is not the only one...
