You did great job with this review, I enjoyed it. I agree with you about Wes Craven and this movie, it kicks ass. Heard little about the remake their making, supposed to be released 2010. I heard that Robert Englund ain't Freddy in that, which is bullshit, I know hes like 60 years old now, but I can't imagine anyone as Freddy besides him. Haven't done any research, anyone know who they casting as Freddy to the remake? Or is it even announced yet?

Cambodian refugees became restless, and so since this happened epople began to die in thier sleep. So this one kid did not go to sleep, that where the coffee pot in the closet idea for nancy came from. But he didnt go to sleep and for months he parents begged for him to sleep. So he did once, and what happened is that he woke up screaming by the time the parents got to the door. He died the end, plus freddy is based on a hobo he saw with sbas on his face. ^^ hope i helped explain n.o.e.s to you.

Wes Craven is awesome ;) for example, New Line took over making the Nightmare movies, and they sucked compared to the first one. Wes Craven directed Scream, Scream 2 and the third, and they were all great, so it just goes to show that the movie depends on the director ;)

I liked your review really good job.

I know that its just a matter of opinion but I have to differ on the arm extension scene. That scene creeped me out when I first watched it. That scene totally came out of nowhere and gave Freddie even more of supernatural feel.

I completely agree on Heather Langenkamps. Her acting was spot on. The character of Nancy was well thought out.

thought it was to emphasize the fact that she's dreaming.Maybe I'm alone in this,but I've had dreams where I was being chased and I either could not move or I did something real absurd like walk in slow motion.

You aren't afraid of them, and that's fine, but there are people who were afraid of it, and it was a last minute decision, so that might explain why it looks funny. (Or not. Dunno.) You don't think it'd be the slightest bit creepy to be alone at night in an alley way with a killer (from your nightmares) extending his arms as he comes towards you, blocking your path, and scraping his knives against a building to add to the horror? Well,I disagree mostly with your Negatives of the film because: 1.) Yes, Tina looks retarded as she runs in the opening scene, but it's a nightmare, and that's just one of it's effects. She isn't supposed to run super fast, she's supposed to run slow and have trouble since it's a bad dream. Plus, the actress was on a treadmill thing. =p

2.) Well, I've heard lots of people say those long arms scared the crap out of them. Everyone's afraid of different things. (continued)
