The glitch sis that the sonics are a little bit far away from each other...well that's what I think

This is what happened to me, too. Except I was sent flying all the way across the stage :/. It took a LONG time to catch up, lol.

There's a similar glitch to that that I've experienced. If you go to attack the core while modern Sonic, you can glitch through the Time Eater for a few seconds.
