There is NO shortage of oil - merely politically controlled refinery and managed output for profit. Shishmaref, Alaska is currently condemned because of the melting of permafrost - and rising ocean levels. It is ridiculous! In Wales - where I lived - the shore has eroded so that many in town now have beach front property!

They are trying to give the hydrogen stations solar panels so all of that extra energy needed can simply be produced from the sun which has no bad effect. And yeah as for now an E 85 is good but it is rather expensive and a gas electric hybrid is the best and easiest option for right now.

Global warming and ozone depletion are two separate problems. The ozone holes were caused by man-made CFCs that broke down ozone molecules in the atmosphere.
Global warming, on the other hand, is due to an increase in carbon dioxide, which is a greenhouse gas. The more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the greater the greenhouse effect. Global warming isn't a partisan issue. Honestly, how would "liberal scum bags" benefit from people driving more fuel-efficient cars? They wouldn't.

You are right, actually the peak was 1998. However, the difference is on two standard deviation points, very small--and back then there were no internal combustion engines. Then why was the Earth almost equally as warm as 1998? The inconvientient truth is warming and cooling is the norm. I disagree with Gore because he is a hypocrite! Almost 90 percent of Austrian glaciers shrank in 2009, some by as much as 46 metres (150 feet), the Austrian Alpine Association said Friday.

Whilst I am for protecting the environment and reducing polution. C02= 0.038% of the atmosphere, of that human activity accounts for 5-6%. Do themaths and realise how much effect we have compared to oceans which are effected by olar activity variations. Other planets and moons within the solar system have a similar warming trend. The earth was also warmer 1100-1300, vineyards flourished in London!

There is NO shortage of oil - merely politically controlled refinery and managed output for profit. Windmills & solar panels are NO substitute for fossil fuels and collosaly damaging to the environment - windmills are a total non starter using more energy to construct and dismantle than every they may save. The energy to make the glass for solar panels also exceed the savings in other energy - Currently the ONLY viable solution is fossil fuels or better still Nuclear as a clean form of energy.

the big companies know that polution profits, it will be tough to stop these guys. The way to start is consume less, walk more, buy organic as much as possible or grow your own.

Shishmaref, Alaska is currently condemned because of the melting of permafrost - and rising ocean levels. It is ridiculous! In Wales - where I lived - the shore has eroded so that many in town now have beach front property!

A glacier period would result in a massive crop failure, massive starvation, the shore line receding 120 feet down. Cuba and the US will be one continent. Beach homes will be inland homes. USA (5% of total world population) is officially responsible for around 25% of CO2 emissions and global forcing (i.e. over background levels of warming that would happen anyway). However, if you then look at direct and indirect impacts (through purchase of goods from overseas) USA is the driver of around 50% of human-based CO2.
So, whilst not an anti-US person it must be said that the big step forward will come from USA policy / or US people changing their economic behaviour?

Its never happened before... and its getting worse. Here in Holland we can feel the changes very hard.The winter isn't the winter anymore.Normal at this time of the year the temp is +2C or below.Now it is 15+ that is 45F.There are more storms and rain than normal.First thing we HAVE TO do is search for another car fuel.I think there is a better solution for that,but its all about money.

Hydrogen Fuel Scam! Hydrogen Fuel is available for cars now, but please take caution! The energy it takes to produce hydrogen fuel for 1 car creates MORE pollution than 1 car running on gas. Hybrids and cars using E85 fuel (85% ethanol and 15% gas) are 20 times more environmentally friendly!

FYI - Hydrogen Fuel is now available for cars... but take caution! The amount of energy it takes to produce hydrogen fuel for 1 car produces more pollution than 1 car powered by gas. Hybrids and cars that are capable of burning E85 fuel (85% ethanol and 15% gas) are much more environmentally friendly.

They are trying to give the hydrogen stations solar panels so all of that extra energy needed can simply be produced from the sun which has no bad effect. And yeah as for now an E 85 is good but it is rather expensive and a gas electric hybrid is the best and easiest option for right now.

Global warming and ozone depletion are two separate problems. The ozone holes were caused by man-made CFCs that broke down ozone molecules in the atmosphere.
Global warming, on the other hand, is due to an increase in carbon dioxide, which is a greenhouse gas. The more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the greater the greenhouse effect. Global warming isn't a partisan issue. Honestly, how would "liberal scum bags" benefit from people driving more fuel-efficient cars? They wouldn't.

If the ozone is reparing itself, that is only because the WORLD took quick action. We banned chlorofluorocarbons back in the 80s or 90s i believe. As for global warming, no one is doing smack about it.. so nobody knows where that will exactly lead us but they do have some good predictions. Very big difference is that one was remedied with action and the other is not being even considered in the us because Bush is trying to put everyone in denial and rewrite scientific data.

Al Gore has no scientific training or background, in fact, he failed out of seminary school. How do you fail God? Anyway, predicting global climate pattens based on the available information is a little like watching the last 2 minutes of GANDHI and being asked to give a detailed account of the entire movie. Also, Gore fails to address the issue of the medival warming period, which is fact, even though there were no combustion engines during that period. Junk science for dumb people.

He clearly talkes about the reletively tiny heat-up we had in the middle ages, and the fact that we have 600 thousand years worth of temperature data to go from!!

Al gore is not making the claims himself, he's simply presenting data. And yes, the heat up in the middle ages was tiny compared with the terperature of the earth even in the 1970's. I think if you're going to deny global warming, you owe it to yourself to at least watch his movie, or even look at the data so you know what you're arguing against!

You are right, actually the peak was 1998. However, the difference is on two standard deviation points, very small--and back then there were no internal combustion engines. Then why was the Earth almost equally as warm as 1998? The inconvientient truth is warming and cooling is the norm. I disagree with Gore because he is a hypocrite! His family has long made money from mining in Tenn., which isn't the most enviromentally sensitive practice.

al gore does not deny the fact that the earth heats up and cools down, if you watch the documentry it presents data from over 600,000 years of tempeture change and in all that time there has never been an increase in tempeture to the extent that we have seen in recent years, which can only mean one thing that it isnt natural,watch the documentry and you might get an insight to the future of this planet

It makes sense to he who doesn't want it to make sense. Global warming is the method used by coorporations to control the masses---simply put, to keep them trustful of those who supply them.
Here are some facts - Since 1800, Antarctica has decreased .7 degrees. The last ice age (titled the Little Ice Age) ended around 1850, which makes perfect sense for the natural rise of temperature.
