Thanks for your reply. Several weeks back I found an article in Gujarati on the Internet mentioning that Panbai was a servant given to her by her parents at the time of marriage to take along to her new home. I tried to post a response here, but it would not let me post anything for the next few days, so I gave up.

Please don't make a big effort for me. If very easy, pls post some introductory material either from that movie or from elsewhere, I will be grateful to you.

Thanks. Gujarat has such wonderful things like Somnath, Dwarka, music and musicians like Lalitaben. If every state in India would put up a show of what they have, I don't think any state can compete with Gujarat.

I had checked on Google and found almost nothing about Panbai. Could you write a few sentences? I know absolutely nothing about her. I hope some day there will be a Gujarati Wikipedia, and the rest of the world will want to get it translated to other languages.

@1wrongaddress According to my personal point of view, there is also a movie on Gangasati and Panbai. Let me know if you wish to watch it, I would do something for you.

In short, i can tell you a that there is controversy about Gangasati and Panbai relationship as most people believe Panbai was Gangasati's daughter in law and some others believe that Panbai was maid servent of Gangasati and some other believe that Panbai was maid servent of her daughter in law.
