I didn't see what this was in response to but as a person who's embraced sobriety I think there is a good point to be made about celebrities lavishing praise on getting high. cannabis is harmless. Check the LD50 and then tell me how strongly it effects the body at only half the astronomical lethal dose. You have to ingest roughly 135% of your blood weight to come close to OD. It is physically impossible to stay awake at 50% blood weight of THC. Death is possible with alcohol at only 25% blood weight. It's possible to drink up to 40% blood weight before blacking out with possible organ failure.

Does that mean it's harmless or just that it isn't possible to die from a pot overdose? 40 year of research has shown that people with pre-existing mental illnesses have their illness worsened by cannibis AND heavy Chronic users have symptoms that mimic mental illness (paranoia, delusions) even when they aren't smoking until the chemical has left their bodies. I don't drink myself but it's a strawman to argue the alcohol vs pot thing because no one claims drinking to excess is good for you.

Right and wrong,although the anti-psychotic CBD is commonly found in cannabis, it may not always be high enough in concentration to battle the psychotic effects of pure THC. This is why we need regulation, so only cannabis with the safe and proper levels of cannabinoids is sold.
