I have owned many cars and I can conclude that Toyotas are great for family purposes and the safest. I have a Prius in my garage and take that on long trips. I haven't found a more comfortable and worry-less trip car since my Mercedes S-Class. My 03 S55 had nothing but problems.

The prius battery is actually not giant compared to full electric cars. The battery merely works as a short term store for energy gained during downhill and braking. That energy is then used again during acceleration or to power things like steering, air conditioning and general accessories.
@LOLDISNEYLAND to make the battery things get shipped from canada to china to japan. there the car is assembaled and shipped all over the world. from the way the prius is made it doesnt last long enough to save enough energy to cancel out what it took to make it, diesels are the way to go. its unheard of to get 26 mpg out of a 3/4 ton pick up truck, but you can with a diesel

i dont drive a diesel. just about every one in our street owns an SUV and a car or 2.
a 1996 Jetta TDI will get similar MPG results compared with a 2010 Prius. Diesel is cheaper then gasoline, so you end up saving more money with the Jetta.
50 mpg optimum is what i can find on the internet for a Jetta TDI, i get about 60 in a prius, that extra 10 equates to over 3 hours longer on highway using the same volume of fuel.
the limiter kicks in at 108 yup. Not very fast, but honestly what econo car goes much faster? not any really, most are limited to under 120mph. The tires on the prius are rated to 112mph. I know for a fact was doing at least 115 in mine going down hill, but the speedo said 108.
makes you more visible to people you are passing, some people do this so when fanging it, its less likely a person will pull out in front of them, putting hazard lights on is also a common practice.
though i think they should just do things like this where there are no other people to run into or harm

Hybrids have killed people in accidents, the batteries explode and they don't save gas! Hybrids dont work because they are liberal environmental. They need lots of repairs too. Better to wait for hydrogen and not doing anything until then. Hydrogen is made out of normal, regular fossil fuels so oil companies won't go bankrupt and hurt the economy and lose people's jobs. But if we buy hybrids, oil companies will lay everybody off and ipods will be too expensive. Think about JOBS not saving gas.
in germany or on any road for that matter it is better to drive with ur left blinker on when you are in the fast lane because it is taught over ther that that means you are approaching at high speed and intend to pass at that speed.

i dont drive a diesel. just about every one in our street owns an SUV and a car or 2.
a 1996 Jetta TDI will get similar MPG results compared with a 2010 Prius. Diesel is cheaper then gasoline, so you end up saving more money with the Jetta.

50 mpg optimum is what i can find on the internet for a Jetta TDI, i get about 60 in a prius, that extra 10 equates to over 3 hours longer on highway using the same volume of fuel.

the limiter kicks in at 108 yup. Not very fast, but honestly what econo car goes much faster? not any really, most are limited to under 120mph. The tires on the prius are rated to 112mph. I know for a fact was doing at least 115 in mine going down hill, but the speedo said 108.

makes you more visible to people you are passing, some people do this so when fanging it, its less likely a person will pull out in front of them, putting hazard lights on is also a common practice.
though i think they should just do things like this where there are no other people to run into or harm

Ok lets put it this way... 180 km/hr = 150 km short of my cars top speed, and the fact that this car probably takes about 45- 55 seconds more to reach that speed is ridiculous. So yeah... its fall asleep slow...

Hybrids have killed people in accidents, the batteries explode and they don't save gas! Hybrids dont work because they are liberal environmental. They need lots of repairs too. Better to wait for hydrogen and not doing anything until then. Hydrogen is made out of normal, regular fossil fuels so oil companies won't go bankrupt and hurt the economy and lose people's jobs. But if we buy hybrids, oil companies will lay everybody off and ipods will be too expensive. Think about JOBS not saving gas.
