Very true my friend. It's terrible, music actually used to CONVEY something meaningful. Now it seems (at least to me) that it's all pop beats and voice synths, which really don't get at my "core" like a song such as "Big Log" did or does. THE prime example of why I prefer all of Plant's post-Zep work to the overwrought, overproduced crap he did with them.  Maybe he no longer felt he had to compete for top billing with Jimmy Page, but he stopped whining over all the solos, which he did way too often with Zep. He sings his parts (well, as he always did), then shuts up and lets the musicians carry the instrumental interludes--what a concept!
