WOW! You shure have a LOT of homebrew apps! I used to have that many...maybe even more, but I then got WiiXplorer app and deleted what I didn't like. Oh, and congratulations on getting Linux on your wii. I got mine to work with Boot-Mii

if HBC still runs after you install 4.1u (or whatever version of the firmware you get) then you should be able to run linux

what do you mean when you say you can't believe it worked? That the kernel booted on a Wii?! It doesn't surprise me that it could be done. The kernel itself is very versatile and doesn't require much in the way of hardware to boot, but the functionality is still pretty minimal unless you're able to build a nice OS around it. A lot of people have Linux on their cell phone, GPS, or MP3 player and don't even know it, TomTom & Archos are just a couple brands that use Linux!

it always asks me to log in. i put in Root-Whiite and then i'm stuck. it doesn't launch linux or anything. i'm assuming that i don't have the same one as you?

i really don't know much other than linux works on wii. the only way to connect to the internet is with a usb LAN adapter made for the wii. i don't have one so i can't really find out more yet.

Fluxbox is the worst GUI for Linux.

But I understand why they have choosen for Xfce.

Wii's internal RAM memory is too low for Gnome, KDE or Xfce.
