Thank you for sharing this cracking video. Interseting that the 87 was leading on a southbound working. Do you recall if the TDM had packed up or was the set just the wrong way round? I suppose the cab heaters would've been working quite hard on a chilly day like that. I wonder how Virgin Trains drivers would rate driving these classic electrics compared to the Pendolinos and Voyagers of today.
Another absolutely fabulous video!!!!! And over a stretch of the greatest section of the WCML that is the former Lancaster & Carlisle Railway. It brings back so many memories of great runs with Electric Scots over the fells.

TDM working was abandoned during snow. I would MUCH rather drive an 87 than a pendo or voyager. Thanks for your interest and comments.
