You are incorrect. The Audi was running the quattro system in 1996 when it won the BTCC championship. It was in 1997 that the FIA imposed the rule which did not allow all wheel drive to be used in the BTCC!
@superfast30 ah right cant argue with that but this is a 1997 car? with front wheel drive, frank biela won the championship in 96, if like you say they were running a quattro system, but from what your saying it was out law by the fia for 97 which this car is so it makes it a none quattro
The car in the video is actually the 1996 Championship winning quattro version. The yellow banner which read "Audi quattro" across the windshield is a dead giveaway as the 1997 car sported a red/gray banner which read "Phillips Car Systems" on the BTCC A4 and "Audi A4" on the 1997 WTCC A4.
@superfast30 oh yes specially the rallying not so much domminence, only 83 wasnt it? :( peugeots 205 was good shame i always loved the short wheel base s1, the evo 2 is nice but overkill? haha but very spectaculer

The low noise level is because even race cars have to run under db limits. Example at the 24h at the Ring the maximum noise allowed is 98db..and they controll it at three placed hrough the whole race.

My old man has a Audi A4 1.8 liter turbo car. Let me tell you, its a blast to drive. Its almost as much fun as driving my turbo DSM... almost. ;-)
