@goliathksu Actually, yeast are in the kingdom of Fungi (another kingdom, for example, is Animal), in the domain of eukaryotes, which means, among other things, that they have nuclei and other membrane-bound organelles. Bacteria are prokaryotes, which means they do not. Take it from the PhD student who studies regulation of the yeast genome: yeast are not bacteria. You just made yourself look more dumb than I could ever hope to look.

I just decided to watch another Good Eats episode on a study break, and of course, now all I want to do is go out and buy all the needed ingredients so I can make some muffins! Does anyone else feel this same effect after watching a Good Eats episode?

Also, quick question, has anyone ever tried renting Good Eats DVDs from Netflix? Do they have them available?

@seattlekitten actually he has released some episodes on DVD, but they're not season box sets. for instance i know someone who bought a good eats DVD set that was all about cake and pie and donuts and sugar (mmm, pie....) and yah i do get that same "i-saw-him-make-it-and-now-i-w­anna-make-it" thing too! :D

It's great...reminds me of a Cookie Monster puppet I had way back when I was a little kid. I didn't know there was a hole in it, conveniently at the back of the mouth. My dad would use it to get Oreos that I "fed" to Cookie Monster.
