  • Congrats! You're an example to follow, now if you only could work out your face! It would be amazing to see which effects that would have on your looking!

  • Inspiring.

  • great job old timer, youl be the casanova of the elderly home if you ever get there.

  • @RunescapeCalculator Thanks, but my wife of 56 years might have something to say about that...she trains too by the way...mostly cardio..

  • @nyt35 aaah so if she ever caught you cheating shed be able to catch up to you....you have much to teach me masterXD

  • Good for you

  • This is certainly inspiring!! On the other hand, it can also be viewed as vain. At 74, being vain is far from being cute.

  • @wsamran If you went to my blog you will know that I started weight training at age 72 because of deteriorating health not vanity. I had no idea I could put on muscle at that advanced age. Now, 3 years into my marathon, I see I have indeed gained some muscles. If you are training and you reach the age of 75 and look similar to the way I look, you too will like the way you look..I guarantee it!

  • I am 18 and you sir inspire me to continue to lift weights and stay active and healthy for the rest of my life.I wish you all the health in the world. You are a real hero.

  • @exodisfreak I'm sure your positive atitude will bring you a long and healthy life.

  • I'm a medic and I work in the ICU of my hospital. Most of my patients are senior citizens and nearly all of them are veterans. If my patients kept even half as good care of their bodies as you do, my job would be a million times easier. You, Sir, are an inspiration and a shining example of what the human body is capable of, and remains capable of regardless of age.

  • @Sorinphyre Thank you very much for your kind words.

  • ...and REAL NATURAL!

  • You look good and inspire me to continue lifting weight.

  • @amilgax Thank you and everyone else for your comments...I appreciate them - they inspire me to carry on.

  • shit hot keep going my friend

  • great, keep it up!

  • great grandpa

  • you look good sir

  • OREOS O GEROSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

  • RESPECT !

  • A creative mind in a strong body is what you need to strive for. The notion that artists have to be laid back unkempt drug taking long haired bearded skinny dudes with loose morals is very 60's. That song doesn't play anymore. Never neglect your body because you are using and developing your mind. Your body is your mind's tranportation and protector so treat it with respect and dignity. Your body like your mind requires work. So be and stay strong both in mind and body.

  • @nyt35 RESPECT! that was a beautiful comment and true in all ways.

  • i think the mind has a lot to do with maintaining the body as well. i am very creative, positive, and young in my thinking and how i approach things. perhaps that can be reflected in the body? being active and eating good are key. raw veggies and fruits are ideal, sunlight

  • hi gerald!

    awesome body. congratulations!

  • I only trained 10 years, starting in 1960. I was 24 years old. In 1965 I started entering weightlifting and bodybuilding contests. (at that time they were combined) I was on the cover of Strength and Health magazine in Sept. 1968. I started art college in 1966 and stopped training completly in 1970 to devote my life to art. As an artist I am known as Maestro Gaxiola. Les Blank made a documentrary film about me in 1995. In 2009 I started training again. And yes muscle memory has helped.

  • @nyt35 You are an inspiration!

  • @nyt35 yeah you are a great artist ! thks for your video !

  • Great physique! Inspiration to anyone at any age!

  • He had muscle memory. He weigh trained for 10 years and then did bodybuilding for 10 more years, all while he was young enough that is growrh hormone and testosterone levels were quite high. I'm not taking away from his hard work and accomplishments. I just feel that this is misleading: "Length of time working out: 2 years 6 months Steroid free, all natural with only whey protein and creatine as supplements." It does not tell the full story.

  • freakin awesome!!! Go dude :)

  • Yo wats up master roshi XD, I hope to look like that when im 74. Great work, u are an inspiration

  • Hot, muscular, and sexy!

  • if your natural, WOW!

post some more videos when you get older

  • If you read about all the big time bodybuilders who have died young because of taking steroids its easy to see why,at my age, I won't touch them. I am not competing and I have been married for 56 years so I don't need to look good on the beach to attract girls - so there would be no point in looking massive. As a matter of fact if you saw me on the street, at160 lbs., you wouldn't even know I worked out. I always wear lose fitting clothes. Health yes - steroids no!

  • @nyt35 very cool. i too hope to become become self sufficient as an artist. the local scene left a lot to be desired so i am finally doing what i always had stuck in my head. no more procrastination!

  • Impressive if what you state (about being steroid-free) is true. Very inspirational... Thank you for sharing!

  • vovo ta podeno'kk

  • Great job. This is what everyone should aim for !!!
