Hi can i ask what is the possible maximum load that this motor can withstand? we are planning to use this type of motor for a rotating process much like how a concrete mixer works, but on a smaller scale
hello. im planning to use wiper motors to operate my large scale RC tank. on regular high speed do you think it could move 200lbs geared down? speed can be less then walking speed.
greaaaaaaaaaaat .. we made a robot by two kind of this motor but the two motors are the same "the core direction of both looking to the left "
so we put one of them normally in the left side of robot and another one in the right side but by reverse it .. so when the robot run in fwd direction it go to fwd and right because of the different in the speed between two both sides .. really we thank you .. big kiss for you from Egypt ..

You are actually not adjusting the speed but lowering the current. The motor that you are holding is a nissan model steel type which one of our models way back 2003 to 2007.You cannot adjust the speed of a dc motor unless you increase the ampere.
I have to assume that the Motors magnets are attached to the shell and you are "detuning" the motor by rotating the case. I like the way you are thinking out of the box. Thanks for posting this video.
I have been reversing my motor by using the slow speed tapping as a ground and the ground as reverse and fast speed as forward. Its not ideal I know but it works. The biggest disadvantage is that it draws 1.5A in one direction and nearly 2A in the other.
can you tell me how to reverse the direction of rotation of the motor and to control the rotation using push buttons. The wiper motor I have has two wires coming out, one they asked us to earth and the other to the supply line whether fast or slow..pleae do help...
I have heard of people modifying windsheild wiper motors to make a winch for an atv. I was wondering if this motor could be modifed to make a electic motor kit for a bicycle. This question might sound stupid for some of you but i am only 13 and not very smart with electric motors but gas motors on the other hand i am.
2- Positions of the brushes are specified in order to have the best commutation under load. Brushes are placed on electrically neutral positions By rotating the yoke you may have higher speeds but this is not the case under load. If you rotate the yoke and drill holes to fix yoke, you will have too many sparks between the commutator & carbon brushes.. this may yield failures related to commutator wear. and you will receive too much noise from your FM / AM radio while you were running wipers.
no it is not possible.. windings of the rotor of 24 V would be different, you may have to rewind the rotor with lower copper wire section in order to have same power.
If you power the 12V motor with 24V, you may have higher currents and very high temperatures.. consequently thermic cut-out would stop the motor
The polarity of magnets are designed fixed to case position so it is not ideal to change stator's position.Anyway, I admired your being inventive :).. as long as the motor moves and you will not hearing a complicated sound, you can continue using it...
We are producing about 16,000 wiper motors and 30,000 power window motors daily by the way ..:)
The one that you have is an old model TT322 940 designed for NISSAN Altima..
Nice try but actually you cannot adjust the speed of this wiper motor in such process. The speed cannot be adjusted if there is high current... nice to see this motor here in youtube.. This model 940 wiper motor is the one we make here in Jideco Phillippines. We produce this model for Nissan cars... I am hearing a gear noise though... The spur gear and counter gears, even the worm gear of armature might have some damaged...see my profile on how to assemble wiper motors...
Thanks for the comments. I'm trying to equal the speed in both directions with this trick. I use this motor in a motion simulator and need it to run in same speed both directions... See my profile for a link to my site that I decribe a Home motion simulator that is using simple wiper motors! If you know another way to fix the speed to be equal in both directions then I'd like to hear it!
How did you reverse the motor to go backwards then forward?? thanks

how did you wire everything to the toggle switches? fuse installed? how could I wire my wiper motor to only the wiper switch and fuse??

Hello,
There are 2 main points which are not correct:
1-Worm gears can carry the load only in one direction of rotation. So, reverse direction of rotation may yield gear failure under load.

Hi buddy
i need to ask u which car motor is this?
and how much does it cost because it really interesting and im planing to install in my robotic arm project
plz let me know its price and name of car and model and @ how much volts does it works on?
thank u

@junvalasek I looked at your profile, but did not see any wiper motor assembly videos. Did you take them down or move them?
