This kind of music requires specific sound installments and facilities that differ slightly from those intended for trivial pop songs. That's probably why Vassili's performance didn't go as perfectly as it could have. I personally adore his voice, his hair (that was often mocked) and his image overall; however, the song together with dramatic video was slightly too pompous for my taste.

Je viens de regarder la vidéo officielle de l'eurovision où ce brave garçon chante en direct et pour être sincère je comprends qu'il ait perdu. Il chante faux surtout au début. Les juges sont intransigeants sur ces détails. Si au lieu de le faire chanter en play-back dans toutes les émissions dans lesquelles il a été invité, il avait chanté en direct, il aurait certainement maitrisé son trac et ses émotions. C'est bien dommage pour lui mais une grande carrière s'ouvrira certainement pour lui!
