  • Beautiful operation you have yourself there. Best of luck in 2012!

  • @pacificcoast Yes, a rare blessing to have an interest in, and a beautiful place which has produced much gold in the past.

We're working now with perhaps greater insight and technology, but nothing replaces the ancient knowledge gathered by the Old Timers. I can only hope to pass on what I've gathered to future Miners, should they persist! Don't let the passion die.

  • nice operation you guys have down there, would like to see a cleanout video after a days run

  • @southyubamining Typical cleanup has been about 5-9 grams of gold per 15-30 yards of material washed. One area yielded 80+ ounces in a bathtub-sized pocket in the 1980's. We did a magnetometer survey earlier this year that suggests a similar pocket about 100 yards upstream from it, so that's where we're going to concentrate our efforts.

  • Thanks, Scott! I'm thinking of editing the video with text to explain the operation for those who don't have audio on their computers, and for those that are hearing impaired. My diction is not especially clear in some of the audio, and for that I apologize. As usual, Gir has nothing to say!
