  • wow ,what a way of making modhak in microwave...and the easy way of making mold is fabulous that me practicing this 4 a long time will do it soon ....and mrs.sudhakul can u tell me why the water is sprayed after it is done....

  • @me2meena if u don't spray water on cooked modak, modak will become chewe (in marathi we say 'chivat'). water spread over modak stops further cooking and maintains moisture in modak.

  • Wonderful video. I was having difficulties with the rice flour recipe that I had on hand and this video put me in the right direction for success.

  • ZOMG I LUV TO EET FOOD!!1

  • who is this lady who is makin these? wat r the colord things that she put; blue, pink, & yello??

  • Most likely she used food coloring in some of the mixture to make that individual one look awesome.

Not too sure though, assuming since there aren't that many blue foods that its just food dye.

  • Hello Madam. I am from US. Made modaks on ganapati day...turned out to be good...I am very happy...I liked the way you steam the modaks in the microwave bcos there is no other way by which i can do that. I never thought that I will ever make modaks in US. I love U for everything that you have posted.Thank you so much dear. I was wondering if you can put a recipe for making Shankarpale & Rava ladoo so that I can try during Diwali. I am really grateful to you.

  • May be the rice floor is too old or even the type of the rice also effects. It should be sticky. You can try with another type of rice floor and Knead it in mixer or food processor (not with hands)
