The police have never been "defenders of the people", their job is to protect and serve the government. We're nothing but a revenue source, tax slaves; the only protection afforded to us by the state is the sort of protection a farmer provides for his livestock. We're property to them, not people. The mentality of the police is the mentality of house slaves; they love 'massa', because he's good to them. They hate us field slaves because we don't share their love for our masters.
