i know why he did that punish in 1:48. He wanted to do the fierce shoryu cancelled into denjin to finish it somewhat stylish. sometimes i mess up in my fierce shoryu cause i hold forward too. hah.

That punish on stun in the 1st match is one of the owrst I've ever seen.... The whole idea behing Ryu's denjin game is to stun and get in one of his mean jump-in combos. Oh,well, I can't expect top-level play to be the same everywhere in the world...

i mean, besides that, and a few other mess-ups, he did really good. i guess as a ryu player myself, i can see where he coulda done different things, but it's all so fast, i doubt it gives him a lot of room to think about it, so very nice how he's doin' it. beats me probly

Nice Ryu -- great to see a growing number of Denjin players. I was interested to see what the Ryu player was going to do at 2.54. I've been in that situation many times, and I always just end up parrying until I miss. Is there anything I can do to break the kicks in between the parries? Maybe Ryu's EX Shoryuken? Or even if a Jab would work, that would be fine. I just can't seem to find anything that I can execute between each parry. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm confident Ryu can easily EX-shoryu out. It has 4 frames of total invincibility and hits on the 3rd frame, while still invincible.

He's alright. He spams tatsumakis even when the opponent is crouching so he would be fairly easy to punish. It wouldn't matter if this match is from the first few rounds of the tournament, but this is the grand final...
