  • Debra from the Trivial Pursuit episode here was on Joker in 1990.

  • bill can you upload that game show designated hitter I have never seen a episode before. :) and btw I like the buckeyes as well. plz don't get mad about me liking clemson too.

  • RIP Ken Ober of 1994 Perfect Match.

  • Are you on the show?

  • billy baker is this guy?

  • You're 15 minutes of shame? Things are always easier on the other side of the camera.

  • At 1:37, a sound effect on Designated Hitter game show when buzzing in came from The Joker's Wild 1990-1991 is when running out of time using a definition of a word.

  • Curt Chaplin was the narrator for The People's Court and the Court Reporter.

  • this game show is coming back on. the new game show is called america plays.

  • Interesting set of game shows here. For those wondering, here's when they aired:

Trivial Pursuit - Summer 1993 (Family Channel)

Designated Hitter - Early 1994 (ESPN)

    Free 4 All - Summer 1994 (USA)

Perfect Match (Ober) - Fall 1994 (ESPN)

    Debt (Lifetime) - August 16, 1996 (Lifetime)

  • Free 4 All was probably better than Quicksilver during the game show block.

  • Nice to see a very young Mark Walberg.

  • Who hosted "Designated Hitter" on ESPN?

  • According to EOTVGS 2, Curt Chaplin hosted it.

  • I have been waiting 5 years since "Russian Roulette" to watch Mark Walberg again.

  • Comment removed

  • Speaking of "Perfect Match"...

Did those podiums have eggcrate displays?

  • Man I'd love to see Trivial Pursuit make a return.

  • Technically, it is making a return... in syndication, and called "Trivial Pursuit: America Plays".

  • Well... Mark L. Wahlberg will do in place of the great Wink Martindale.

  • I've been waiting a minimum of 4 years but a maximum of 5 years to watch Mark Walberg again.

  • Mark Walberg used to host a show called "Temptation Island" which was on the same network as "The Moment of Truth" which he is now hosting.

  • I don't know if you remember this but Mark Walberg is hosting a new show on FOX called "The Moment of Truth" which is on Wednesday nights at 9:00 after "American Idol."

  • moment of truth is the worst game show ever to exist

  • I like "The Moment of Truth" so much I'm trying to save the show forever by recording it on the VCR.

  • I have been waiting 5 years since "Russian Roulette" to watch Mark Walberg again in prime time TV.

  • I guess you didn't have (or didn't watch) ION in 2004. (He hosted a show on that network that year called "On the Cover", which was a flop)

  • I did have ION in 2004 and I did watch it.

  • On The Cover took me back to my 2nd year in High School and I was a student when that happened.

  • That took me back to the time I was in High School when I was 16 years old.

  • To be honest with you, On The Cover took me back to the end of my 1st year going into my 2nd year when I was in High School. On The Cover refers to the minimum number of years I had to wait to watch Mark Walberg again which is 4.

  • I've got some more good news for you; "The Moment of Truth" is going to return July 29 @ 9:00 P.M.

  • wait a sec wasn't free 4 all mark walberg's hosting debut?

  • That takes me back to Elementary School.

  • I haven't watched Mark Walberg since I was in High School.

  • u think he still wears converse shoes?

  • the average of the day on your episode of "debt" was $7,415 right?

  • i think so.

  • u read my mind.

  • Holy crap dude you have Free 4 All! I've been looking for clips of that show! Would you be willing to upload or send that whole episode?

  • how'd you get on so many game shows? i am 14 and don't recognize any of these so pardon me if it's all the same show.

  • They were all different cable shows from the mid-90s.

    1. Trivial Pursuit-1993 (Family Channel)

    2. Designated Hitter-1994 (ESPN)

    3. Perfect Match-1994 (ESPN)

    4. Debt-1996 (Lifetime)

    5. Free 4 All-1994 (USA)

Unlike the daytime and primetime shows, there's no limit on how many shows you could appear.

  • Wait, Perfect Match was on ESPN? (And I thought the first ESPN game show was 2-Minute Drill with Kenny Mayne)

  • I think ESPN's first game was something called "Boardwalk & Baseball's Super Bowl of Sports Trivia", with Chris Berman c. 1988 or so. It was a quiz bowl type of show that maybe lasted a year or so.

  • Bill, incredible moments man! I enjoyed Trivial Pursuit and Debt, and I was surprised that Kurt Chaplin of The People's Court hosted something.

Gotta ask you something, Bill. I am the webmaster of a great game show website. Do you think we could do an interview someday?

  • Anytime

There's lots of folks out there that have won a few shows.

  • That's so true.

My game show website is linked on my profile page here at YouTube. If you have trouble getting to it, let me know.

  • What was the name of that show @ 4:33?

  • Not to be nitpicky, but I think his name is spelled "Curt", not "Kurt". (And I read in EOTVGS 2 that he was a DJ in NYC, but it may be wrong)

  • @mtiller2006 Mike, Curt Chaplin hosted both Designated Hitter and Grandstand.

  • @mtiller2006 Designated Hitter by the way Mike, was created by Bill Carruthers of Press Your Luck fame.

  • My dad was on 4 game shows as well, Billy. He competed on Jeopardy, Win Ben Stein's Money, Russian Roulette, and Merv Griffin's Crosswords. One difference between him and you, though: You actually won one of them. My dad finished 2nd on all 4 of his shows. Props to you for winning.

  • Lol wow, you've been on a lot of shows there eh?

  • What was that gameshow at 04:46?

  • Free 4 All. It aired on USA in the mid-90s.

  • Mark Walberg is going to host a new show that is going to premiere on FOX, what is the name of the new show?

  • Who is the woman announcing "Debt?"

  • Julie Claire. Don't know much about her.

  • Bill is it true that during each commercial break that a government employee stands behind you to make sure there is no cheating.

  • No

Just the production assistants from the show

  • Dang, I'd no IDEA Mark L. Walberg's gs career was that extensive!

  • He's going to host a new show that's going to premiere on FOX.

  • This looks more like 8 1/2 minutes rather than 15 minutes. Where's the other 6 1/2 minutes of shame?

  • I haven't seen Debt in such a long time.

I didn't know Mel Brooks was the host. LOL

    Go Buckeyes!

  • Debt was on Lifetime TV

  • i have a question bill, did your team win a prize for making it to the bonus round?

  • yes

carpet / grill / door opener... about $1000

retail, of which we were W-2ed

  • Can somebody on you tube download the following? Happy Days seasons6-8, Wheel of Fortune 1986-1996, the price is right 1979-1995, Jumble 1994, Every Second Counts 1985. This can expand your viewership, and provide more hits to your website.

  • i've never seen episodes of jumble or every second counts

  • unless i'm mistaken i think that stupid copyright filtering software is going to be launched on monday

  • what will that mean to the site??

  • actually make that $133.33

  • $400 HA! THAT IS HARDLY A WIN!

  • of course assuming that was the show that u won on

  • i hate to say it, but i would hardly consider free 4 all a win

  • you gotta be kidding me, how the hell did u not know the producers?

  • way before the play came back into popularity

  • how many game shows has ken ober hosted?

  • 3 or 4...

"Remote Control", "Perfect Match", "Make Me Laugh"...but I want to say there was another.

  • all I could remember was remote control

  • I always love my favorite game show of all time with Wink Martindale: "Debt".

  • Actually, the movie "High Anxiety" first premiered in movie theatres in 1977, not 1974.

  • Well, maybe it was MADE in 1974, CraigFoye80.

  • lobstertexas, how were able to be on Lingo twice??? I thought that you could only appear only once on the show in which you were a contestant. Was it the tournament of champions or something?

    Anyway, great vid Bill!

  • well, it's ok.. I was on Lingo twice, about a year apart, BOTH TIMES Chuck Woolery hit on my partner and yet had no clue who we were :p

  • so did wink remember you from trivial pursuit when you saw him on the set of debt? :D

  • No he didn't. I was disappointed. He's done over 30 shows for 40 years.

  • wow, it's has been a long time since i've seen this show.

  • That Trivial Pursuit joke was the lamest one I've heard in a while.

  • This looks more like 8 1/2 minutes rather than 15 minutes.

  • I haven't seen clips of Free 4 All in years.
