SL have really only ever produced Vass and Muttiah; Malinga is good but his abondonment of Tests so early in his careers when injuries have been minimal fro him is a blight on his career. I have a question ... when I was learning cricket, I was told that unless you do a full arm rotation regardless of you are spinning or Fast bowling your ball is not valid. Infact, I had similar bowling action as Malinga (obviously nowhere near as good) I was disqualified and was told to change my bowling action or leave the team. This was many years ago. However, nowadays I see people like Malinga bowling with similar action and yet they are accepted. Can anybody clarify?? Many Thanks

Personally I quite like to watch this sort of thing, a variation to the game, such as dilshan's 'scoop', I think it's healthy for players to think up and perfect new ways of playing cricket.

I have a question ... when I was learning cricket, I was told that unless you do a full arm rotation regardless of you are spinning or Fast bowling your ball is not valid. Infact, I had similar bowling action as Malinga (obviously nowhere near as good) I was disqualified and was told to change my bowling action or leave the team. This was many years ago. However, nowadays I see people like Malinga bowling with similar action and yet they are accepted. Can anybody clarify?? Many Thanks
