  • Come Christian means come homophobic!

  • he has a horse face

  • Fuck him. That's not news. It's opinion. Screw you Hume.

  • funny, my life got way better when i became an atheist!

  • I really have a seething hatred for people who think the way this commentator does.

  • great example of an insane lunatic who belongs in an asylum?

  • HAHA! It amazes me that this guy is so old and never got off of religion. Wow.

  • The stupid, it burns!

  • @Io1564 That's my FB status after being fed up with my Christian friends who think Fox news is actually fair and balance.

  • @ubimi @ubimi "fair and balanced", not "fair and balance".

  • It's funny but when I was a Christian, I fell hard on my ass and my life turned to crap. When I got out I realised my spirituality and saw that Christianity is another gimmick in the world of politics and power.

This Hume guy is basically saying that if you turn to Christianity, it will offer help for such personal falls. That is completely false. Even in Christian doctrine it is known that when you become a believer you will be "attacked" more often by the devil.

    What a fool! LOL

  • what are they trying to sell a fucking product? "they don't offer forgiveness, BUT WE DO!!!"

  • Hey Tiger just remember, Christianity > believing in religion.

lol'd, but anyways, what a bumhole

  • thats fucked up

  • Yeah... just believing in an imaginary friend is much more redeemable than gee, I don't know, maybe feeding starving children or donating to charities- nah nah, he's right, God is totally the way to go. Makes SO much more sense.

  • The Buddha likes you. But Jesus wants to send you to hell for something.

  • 10/10, full fucking hatred.

  • Oh, sweet rage

  • xDD no god.

  • I'm confused. Do I 'like' this video because someone was nice enough to post it, or do I 'dislike' it because of the content? Either way, this is appalling.

  • What a crock of shit.

  • Ass clowns

  • Retarded ass christian extremist

  • "Believe in my imaginary friend!"

    Religion is a placebo.

  • Brit Hume is a WACO! A Radical Christian Right along with that Loon Pat Robertson.....They have a Goal...and one Goal only, To Create a Nation based on Radical Christianity, so they can Control the Human Masses.....Just like the Nazis did in Germany... Brain wash people, to maintain control of Government......to acquire their Goals of Power and Tyranny.... Using God, Jesus and The Bible as a Disguise......Plain and Simple!

  • what i hate most from people that are Christian they always try to talk people into converting to Christianity. i mean shit let people do their own thing they believe what they wanna believe.

i dont know how many time i spam the doors on them people who knock on my door askin me and talkin me about Christianity.

  • christianity seems to have too much forgiveness that they will never reach redemption... buddhism is training yourself with their teachings and tools... depending on one's dilligency.....

tiger woods is just another rich guy that can do whatever he wants, he dun hav the mindset to resist the temptation of indulgence.. too much indulgence also lead to suffering like now.. lol

i hope he has experience his suffering now and can overcome his deceits and mistakes.

  • Brit Hume should convert to the SuckMYC@CK Religion so his @sshole can be forgiven.

  • If this mother fucker said this about Islam, he will dead by now.

    Buddhist people don't get angry.

  • Christianity is the Wallmart world of religions, everything is for sale @ a cheap price, so come on in.

  • @lq32 : Excuse me, I am looking for indulgences. Some of my friends are afraid they may not make it to Heaven, so I am trying to assist them. Will you please point me to aisle where the items are located? :-)

  • Woodwork squeaks and out come the Freaks....

  • BujiZen knows absolutely NOTHING about zen.

What's the meaning of "fraud" Buji?

  • Family values Republican Brit Hume who disowned his homosexual alcoholic son Sandy. Sandy subsequently committed suicide. BTW, if you don't want your son to become gay, don't name him Sandy.

  • For the latest on fundamentalist Christian forgiveness and wisdom see the new statement by Christian minister Pat Robertson on YouTube, who feels god is punishing Haiti for a Pact to the Devil that some slaves made 200 years ago. Duhh??? :

Pat Robertson on Haiti's "Pact to the Devil"

    /watch?v=QszyMLxrQvk

These fundamentalists are really crazy & scary. (Palin also believes she's chosen. Duhh?)

    For the Haitian response see:

  • Buddhism and Christianity.

    not Buddhism and Christianity.

    neither Buddhism and Christianity.

    neither not Buddhism and Christianity.

    What is it?

  • As a Buddhist there is a lot of alignment in almost all faiths when it comes to kindness, compassion, love, forgiveness and redemption. However no one has ever waged war in the name of Buddha ohhhhhmmmmm... = )

  • Christianity is made for murderers, rapists and thieves. They get off easy.

  • whoa wen did he say that i heard him dsay that the christian faith offers forgivenesss for everybody

  • you know i dont understand why you guys r debating about this i understand your trying to get your point across but its to someone miles away that you dont know and its a debate over a mans opinion

  • o really explain to me how he did that?

  • Good point, though I doubt that you know Brit enough to judge the man so harshly. I think what some people don't get about Christians is that we really believe it and if we really believe it we would want other people to know. It's like, if you had the cure for cancer, you would want to tell people. The Bible does say though that it should be done with "gentleness and respect". I totally get your point though... really. There are a lot of Christian hypocrites.

  • It takes a lot more faith to believe the world just happened into existance from nothing. Moreover, if I live my life for a lie as a Christian and it creates in me more love for mankind so that I would feed the hungry and cloth those who need clothes and help my neighbor, well .... what a wonderful fairy tale to live. The oppenents of Christianity live a life of anger and bitterness. Take all Christians out of the world and you will be left with about 99% less selfless benevolence to mankind.

  • rkempka, forgiveness, love and charity have nothing to do with religious bigotry and proselytizing.

Spiritual Christians like Mother Theresa and Jimmy Carter who demonstrate their Christian love, and charity with action and devotion are admirable.

It's the overwhelming majority of Christian hypocrites and loud-mouthed Christian bigots like Hume who are despicable.

    THAT'S THE POINT!!!

  • @rkempka, any organization with great ethics would go out and brings charity to them. However, go out and trade charity with believes is no different from doing business. I'm a Buddhist, that kind of charity is everywhere though Buddhist community. We just don't have as much money because we don't tell people to give the temple 10% of their salary. Also, There're few Buddhist temple in Thailand that's actually taking care of people with AIDs. I haven't heard of a Christian ones.

  • Let's hope that the Thai's are taking care of their own. Thailand has no need for christianity.

  • Oh the stupid things that people get worked up about

  • hume didnt denigrate budhism he simply said that there is some things christianity offfers that budhism doesnt and dat can be reversed mabye theres somethings budhism offers that chistanity doesnt so hume wasnt denigrating any religion

  • You just don't get it.

Christians have been telling us forever that if we don't believe in their fairy tales, we're all damned to hell. Hume's comment is just another form of Christian religious bigotry "light."

I repeat, Hume was denigrating another religion and proselytizing for his own personal creed on a national TV news show. That's bigotry.

It's also disgusting and pathetic. Please keep your silly fairy tales to yourself.

  • "Christians" are just repeating or quoting what God Himself has been telling us through the centuries...All are "sinful" and deserve death (for turning their backs on God), there is nothing mankind can do on his own to "earn" salvation...God has paid the price for our sinfulness and offers us complete forgiveness and eternal life with Him IF WE REPENT and accept the gift He has prepared for us. God created us...everything we see and can't see... it's His universe we are playing in... His Rules

  • marvmool, God never said anything, period. That's a silly childish fairy tale told by men to other ignorant superstitious people.

You and Hume can believe any fairy tales you like. That's your right - but please don't try to push your own personal fairy tales on others. That's what the Taliban want to do.

  • The Taliban and Jihadists are totally convinced that if they kill non-believers and martyr themselves they're going to go to heaven and get 72 virgins.

That's quite a fairy tale. Do you believe it??

Of course not, because it's a silly fairy tale. That's what most people think about YOUR FAIRY TALES.

  • There is a very distinct difference between Christianity and other "religions"... while others tell you how to attain godhood, or forgiveness, or whatever the goal of their doctrine promotes, God tells us there is nothing mankind can do to EARN salvation... our best efforts fall pitifully short....it's only through accepting the free gift God has provided through Jesus that anyone can be saved... John 3: 16. Yes, there IS only one way... and He has made it so simple.. repent, turn to Jesus.

  • well...buddhism is more simple than that...

  • Regarding Fairy Tales... men through the centuries have tried to disprove the claims of the Bible... none have succeeded. Instead, many who tried to discredit the Bible ended up believing! Amazing book.... try it sometime!

  • That's really silly, marvmool. Okay, hypothetically I believe in the "tooth fairy" and am devoted to the tooth fairy's divine benevolence.

    Please disprove the "tooth fairy."

    Duhh???

  • marvmool, Just happened to remember something else.

Since I saw you're a Bible thumper, I thought you might be interested in these 10 questions on YouTube:

10 questions that every intelligent Christian must answer

    /watch?v=zDHJ4ztnldQ

I'll bet you can't answer EVEN ONE of these questions.

  • Interesting cause that's exactly the same experience I had dealing with goog2k on his channel. It seems that this disease isn't limited to just demeaning Buddhism or Christianity.

  • ...while you appear to be quite close-minded when it comes to "Christianity", it appears you are quite ready to accept the immaginary musings of others, i.e. evolution (Darwin was not even a scientist, yet you seem ready to believe without facts to back him up). God DID speak. Through the Bible as well as through people He chose. And then there was Jesus.. who claimed to be God and DID speak to us. God's gift of salvation is personal.. no one can force you to accept it...

  • im not a chrisitan...

but i thought god is jesus... jesus is in a human form, of god himself. for the brainwashed idiots this means... in order for god to be on earth ( if it was real ) he had to be human... so he was named jesus.

i have never read the bible, i never want to, and i never will. because somehow, it was translated by humans ... how many times? i dont know.

i could be wrong... if i am, i dont give a flying fuck anyways.

  • bryanthanos, being "born again" does not mean that you won't be held spiritually or morally accountable for your actions. Tiger will have to face the consequences of his sin here on earth, but if he was to truly repent and understand that Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins, then he would be forgiven. God is a loving, gracious and forgiving God, but we are accountable for our sin. Tiger may lose his wife, he has lost endorsement deals, public respect, and, I imagine, self-respect.

  • not just adulterers. all sinners. which would be pretty much everyone in this world.

  • You have to understand, Brit Hume lost a son to suicide and found (or so he claims--I'm ALWAYS suspicious of these pundits) some comfort through Jesus. I'm happy he can find some solace through Jesus. But to say Buddhism offers no redemption indicates a lack of understanding of the religion. Personally, I think Tiger Woods is a player and is not seeking ANY sort of redemption.

  • @grapefruitm00n ,that's exactly the point.Tiger woods is a player but what he should be is a pray-er.

  • I don't think he wants to be a pray-er though. These athletes and celebrities all too often play the "I found God" card (or in his case Buddha) whenever they get caught with drugs, booze, sex romps etc.

  • The great thing about being a christian is that you can cheat on your spouse with ten different women and then just say "I'm born again!!" Then you can't be held spiritually or morally accountable for your actions..I LOVE being a christian!!

/Sarcasm off (in case you're an idiot)

  • Yes, through Jesus all sin can be forgiven but the consequences may still remain.

Let's see: Keep coming back for millions? of years trying to "get it right" or accept Jesus as Lord & Saviour and spend eternity in paradise with your creator. You choose.

  • you misunderstand the teachings of Buddha. It's a journey. Life is HERE and NOW and it is to be enjoyed. You're in your classroom and you get to find your way. A true Buddhist is not looking for the fast track to Nirvana. The journey there is an amazing experience.

Do those that think like you, KENEDWARDS88, dislike their lives that much that they spend its entirety thinking about how great it's going to be after they die?

  • love the sarcasm. but i feel as though someone who does that is not actually a christian. just cause you say it doesn't mean you are. although, i still don't understand your reasoning. does the phrase "I'm born again" actually take away accountability?

  • You know, its kind of sad how Brit makes such a mockery of his religion by doing this. Its embarrassing in what he said because it makes it seem that no matter what you do and no matter how bad it is, all you need to do is be Christian and its ok because your forgiven. Um, no, you sin, you go to hell. Besides, from the following comment, it seems he was WAY off topic in his little rant... Have another drink dude!

  • He was far from ranting. He was lovingly sharing the truth with Mr. Woods.

Yes, through Jesus all sin can be forgiven but the consequences may still remain.

  • When all else fails, humble yourself before God. Talk to him like a friend. It helps to kneel when praying, sorta like a servant kneels before a king. Tell him how desparately you need him. If you start feeling a sorrow come over you, you are close. Keep praying. Soon you will feel tears well up. Now the good part happens. Ask God to come into your heart. You will experience God's spirit touch you and your life will never be the same. THAT's a promise. Quit being angry at God. He loves you.

  • This being said without hate or hostility:

Christianity is one of several ways through the woods (pun not intended).

To those who believe that Jesus is the only way, you forget that god (and Jesus) love all humans.

To those who hate Brit for urging Tiger to come to Jesus: Brit wants to help Tiger in the only way he knows how.

  • You must read the words of Jesus. "No man comes to the Father but by me," he says. According to JESUS, there are NOT several ways to be saved/get to Heaven/have eternal life/"through the woods."

According to JESUS, there is only ONE WAY.

Please read it for yourself because eternity is a long time and hell's a horrific place to spend it.

  • I've been told this by many Christians now. My beliefs accept that there is more than one way to be a good person.

And I realize that you believe that your way is the only way.

  • Respectfully, I implore you to read the words of Jesus.

He is the one that said that he is the only way.

  • kenedwards88: I'm sorry but you use the word "respectfully." I know that this is untrue because you don't respect anyone's opinions unless they feel the same way about Jesus that you do.

You might care about me and the others that are not under your canopy, but you do not respect us at all.

You may have something to teach me that I don't know, but that doesn't matter. Because you have no interest in what I know. You turn your ears and your eyes off when meeting outsiders.

  • Why do you insist on making this personal. All I did was tell you what Jesus said in the Bible & then pleaded with you to read it for yourself. It has nothing to do with what I may/may not think about you.

  • P.S. I used the word "respectfully" because your comments are presented graciously and you sound like a person worthy of respect.

  • Hmm. I guess I assumed intention of your message incorrectly. In diving into discussions on other version of this video on the Youtube, I have found a lot of people that would like to convert me now and have told me that there is only one right way. It seems that you do believe that as well.

I'm a little frustrated at those who have the faith and want to force it on everyone else.

  • I'm sorry that you've been frustrated. I believe you are correct; no one should try to force what they believe upon you.

I've shared what I believe with you (and I hope I haven't added to your frustration) & you've heard it and have been very kind in your responses.

May God richly bless you & your family.

    ken

  • I can live with Jesus as long as his followers keep their conversion attempts to conversation and don't resort to force (except to protect their physical selves of course).

Don't take it personally, though, if I say something you don't like in a stream. I like to challenge and make others think a little. And I'm sorry if thinking hurts you.

  • And of course I wish happiness and meaning to the lives of you and all Christians, Ken.

  • Amen!

  • And just what is the Reverend Hume's job on Fox?

  • Thank you Brit for your comments, way to go in standing up for Christianity & God's forgiveness & redemption.

  • Comment removed

  • Your ignorance is appalling. Some of the world's largest charitable organizations are Buddhist. The Tzu Chi Foundation alone has more than 100,000 volunteer workers worldwide. They gave aid to Hurricane Katrina victims, and were a major factor in the relief efforts following the Asian Tsunami in 2004. Charity is a formal duty of Buddhist faithful. BTW, I'm not a Buddhist, I'm just not some dumb yokel.

  • goog2k Everybody thinks their opinion or belief is the best one, or else it wouldn't be theirs. Duh! Do you think people adopt views that they believe are second best?

  • What do you know about Hume?

Taishoff award for Excellence in Journalism,2003, Emmy Award for coverage of Gulf War, Best in the Business award (twice) for coverage of the White House in early decade, worked for ABC for 23 years, under surveillance by the CIA for outing Nixon's shady dealings with the Republican party. Hardly a Conservative mouthpiece.

  • Amen!

  • It's not a matter of free speech.

Smug religious proselytizing is disrespectful and offensive on its face. It automatically implies "I know better than you. My religion is better than yours, and I'm going to show you the real truth"

Besides, Hume was deliberately demeaning Buddhism, of which he has no knowledge, whatsoever.

    That's disgusting.

  • He obviously knows more about it than you. Barbara Hoetsu O'Brien, a Buddhist journalist, told USA Today that Buddhism doesnt offer redemption and forgiveness in the same way Christianity does since Buddhism has no concept of sin.

  • INTOLERANCE IS A DIEING ART.

  • I applaud Brit Hume for his comments. Way to go. It's a bold statement that's bound to get alot of critism. But hey this is America. We do freedom of speech.

  • @kre8tions

Knocking one religion to prop up another? And you applaud it?

Shows what type of person you are.

  • well, i'm sorry you feel that way. but i assure you i'm not the type of person you think i am.

live and let live. there's enough hatred in the world.

  • wow do u even relise that this stupid guy is being racist. his comment makes me sick. im american and i know that just cuz we got freedom of speech doesnt mean we say whatever the hell we want!

  • why do you feel it's ok for you as an american to speak against christianity but wrong to speak for christianity?

  • RACIST??? No color of skin was meantioned in this statement. It's ignorant Americans like you who don't fully know their rights as an American. Communist, and Facist Countries silence opposition, and in America, it's encouraged as long as it doesn't jeapordize, or take anyone's freedoms from them.

  • racist doesnt just mean the color of skin. no one should have the right to offend someone due to religion. sheesh u people get really ignorant sometimes. even a kid like me can see it.

  • Well allow me to make a bold statement to you. There is no God!!!!!

  • Sorry dude. Claiming your religion is better than another one is not the way the world works anymore. This man speaks only for the little old women and men who are afraid to go outside because the apocalypse will get them.

  • @beaverzeal point taken. i'm all for open conversion and discussions. you'd be surprised. he's speaking for alot more than old women and men, and we're not afraid to go outside :-) ...

  • Dude, Really?? I never heard him IMPOSE his FAITH as being better than Tiger's, and that last sentence is false. You have NO solid foundation in which to base your accusations, which may I remind you, are false. God exists. Look at nature, and how perfect the allignment of our Earth, sun, and the other planets are alligned to, in order to sustain life. God Bless you man, and I pray that you find the truth.

  • God doesn't exist, you stupid idiot. Go jump up your own asshole.

  • Have a nice day!

  • I'm on my way to the shelter to pet some puppies and kitties.

  • God Bless you too man.

  • Be sure to jam a large vegetable up your anus tonight.

  • Preach it, brother! See you in Heaven.

  • redondobeech, you're just blathering assertions. baseless ones, at that. You don't even appear to know the differences among the following terms: assertion, axiom, theory, fact, evidence, proof, assumption, supposition.

Evolution IS a fact. Not a theory. I'm not going to do your legwork for you. You can google, I know this because you managed to find your way to YouTube, at least. But it requires venturing to where real science publishes.

  • Quite amusing... you claim evolution to be fact when it cannot be considered fact using the rules of science.... i.e. observable or repeatable... however, looking at the evidence, an honest scientist would have to conclude all we see could NOT have happened by accident... hmm... a designer? ... a creator? The more science discovers about the complexity of our universe, the more it points to a designer and the more difficult it is to believe in random acts of order..

  • I'm positively THRILLED that you're amused.

Yes, it can be considered fact. and IS. Every aspect of the theory of evolution has been demonstrated in nature and is therefore fact.

Do you even know what a theory is?

An honest scientist looks at something he/she does not understand and replies "I don't know...yet". AND NOTHING MORE. That's honest science. NO CONCLUSIONS.

"I don't know" is the most exciting moment of science because it means the starting point of embarking on discovery!

  • If YOU find it difficult to believe that the things which exist could occur by millions of years of natural selecion driven by random mutation, then that's your problem and your failure and so you give up, throw your hands in the air and jump to a premature conclusion that it MUST have been designed.

That's just being a quitter. Nothing more. But no one likes being a coward, so you tart it all up in divine frippery and make a power play on the rest of us to try to shut us up.

    Coward.

  • NO, MARVOOL, that's not JUST what he's doing, he's disparaging Buddhists and Buddhism, when I'd bet you dollars to donuts he doesn't know anywhere near enough about Buddhism to make any kind of call.

IN any event, he showed utter disrespect for the beliefs of others.

  • Theory: "An unproven conjecture; An expectation of what should happen, barring unforeseen circumstances; (sciences) A coherent statement or set of statements that attempts to explain observed phenomena; (sciences) A logical structure that enables one to deduce the possible results of every experiment ..." The mathematical probability of even the simplest organism appearing from the random combinations of events and material so remote, it is laughable anyone could believe it could happen...

  • Laughable? Where's your math? Show me your math.

  • .. on the other hand, science is continuing to uncover more and more evidence that points to an intelligent creator. Not only in biology, but astronomy, physics, chemistry... all of them.. it's exiting for the Christian to see our "Faith" being justified more an more by the scientific community...one of us will be right and one will be wrong.... I know which is which... and God loves you just as much as he does me... and wants YOU to accept Him and experience all the goodness He has to offer.

  • Science requires references. Please supply them.

  • Quentin Smith, "Theism, Atheism, and Big Bang Cosmology" Moreland, J.P. "Does God Exist" Neil Manson, "The Teleological Argument and Modern Science. Lee Strobel, "The Case for a Creator" Michael J Murray, "Reason for the Hope Within" Dubay, Thomas, "The Evidential Power of Beauty" Gonzalez, Guillermo, "The Privileged Planet" Peter Ward, "Rare Earth" Denton, Michael, "Evolution: A Theory in Crisis" Johnson, Phillip, "Darwin in Trial" ... and others...
  • references include pages numbers, paragraph #s and supporting references for what they say.

Those are published books, it appears, NOT scientific papers published in scientific, peer-reviewed journals.

Have you read all those? Are there experimental data, descriptions of the experiments performed, data analysis done, and conclusions drawn so that anyone way take their work and reproduce it for themselves?

You DO realize that all valid, respected science goes through such rigorous process?

  • God Himself?

How did he prove he was God?

  • Performing "miracles" throughout history, as well as miracles when Jesus was on earth. Then, dieing and raising himself from the dead... ascending into heaven...

Jesus claimed he was God... the people who knew him while on earth saw the proof over and over again...

But some will not be convinced no matter what evidence is presented. Today, the evidence is all around us... too bad some are too blind to see it... God still loves you and wants EVERYONE to be saved! 2 Peter 3: 9

  • "miracle" is a subjective interpretation, not a measurable, objective event. Even if it were objective, it would not be proof, just evidence. You DO know the difference between evidence and proof, do you not? No, you don't, because you've used them interchangeably.

And you don't get to quote the bible to offer proof. That would be like Hitler offering proof of his godhead by quoting "Mein Kampf".

  • marvmool, you're dishonest. Disprove the tooth fairy!

Since you're a fundamentalist Christian, I don't expect you to understand.

Christians have been telling us forever, if we don't believe their fairy tales, we're damned to hell. Hume's comment is just another form of Christian religious bigotry "light."

Hume was denigrating another religion and proselytizing for his own creed on a national TV news show. That's religious bigotry.

It's pathetic. Please keep your fairy tales to yourself.

  • It is laughable that people believe random can happen...yet you believe in god, now how do you suppose god came into existance? Randomly was just there?

  • Freedom of SPEECH is the freedom to speak without censorship and/or limitation. The right to freedom of EXPRESSION (a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, General Assembly res. 217A, III) upholds the rights of all to express their views and opinions freely. This is not communist China, this is AMERICA. Brit has a right to share his views. He has the right to be able to use his freedoms to make his position as we all do. Can we do this in a civil way?

  • Yeah he does have a right to say what he has to say, and I have a right to say he's a pompous asshole who's full of shit.

    See how that works?

  • Hume is a puffed up fucking toad. Where does he get off telling people to fucking convert? Asshole. If I was his kid, I would have offed myself as well.

  • .. I can just feel the love you have for all mankind... Britt is just suggesting that Jesus provides salvation... which is what we all need. This is suggested out of love... and it is not something that can be forced on anyone... it must be a personal decision each person must make... to receive the free gift God has provided through Jesus... no brainwashing, no coercion, no Bible thumping... "For God so loved the world, that He gave His ONLY begotten son.... " that is love...

  • I'm sorry but I'm SICK AND TIRED of you brainwashed aholes thumping your bibles around like yours is the only "truth" and everyone else is just lost. You all need to get back in the effing religion closet where you belong. The next one of you that shows up knocking on my front door is going to get a garden hose turned on you.

  • Us Christians have THE TRUTH, and the only reason why you feel bad when we try to talk to you, is that you are being convicted. I'll pray for you, and I hope that you see God's face. I

  • I WILL NOT TURN AWAY FROM THOSE WHO NEED JESUS CHRIST, NO MATTER WHAT. Jesus loves you man, and I'll be praying for you. God Bless you and your family.

  • No @ATF, you're not getting it, presumably because i'm not saying with a book in my hand from behind a pulpit. I'm not feeling "bad".. I'm feeling pissed off that you evangelistic types are telling me what's good for me. What you want to believe in your little circle of friends in your pretty little church, I've got nothing to say about it. But when u stand on street corners with bull horns, or knock on my front door, my opinion starts. So direct your prayers inward you self-righteous simpleton.

  • @ubicomp I'm not self-rightous man. You've become too used to not having people speak out for their faith, which in my case is Christianity. The bible states: "Why do you look for the speck in your brother's eye, while you don't see the plank in yours?" Man, I pray that I not judge people, but look to myself to improve. Look inside of yourself, and find your faults too. We are all human, and not a single one of us is perfect. You got the wrong idea about Christians man.

  • My thoughts on Xtianity are founded in experience. Catholic until about 6. Baptist until about 16. It's all b.s. wrapped up in a pretty package designed to absolve people of responsibility for their own decisions and help make sense of a world that doesn't alway make sense. Every moment I've ever spent in a church, I've thought to myself "This guy hasn't a clue what he's talking about. None of this makes any sense." You think your beliefs are the "right" ones, right? Everyone else is wrong? ....

  • ... Well sorry. By definition, your belief system is self-righteous. It's politics and manipulation. Learn to have an original thought for once. Learn to take responsibility for yourself instead of putting it off on some jesus-y guy. I could go on and on, but i'm kinda done with this utterly fruitless endeavor. My original statement stands. Then next one of you (insert religion name here) that shows up on my front porch is getting the hose turned on you.

  • What do those sexually abused children have?

  • I'm amazed that Brit Hume stated that! He has a lot of courage to say ANYTHING positive about Christianity, being a part of the media and all. I am impressed that he said what he did so PLAIN AND CLEARLY. And Brit is right: "If we confess our sins, He (Jesus Christ) is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." - I John 1:9

Yes, there is redemption in Christ and we all need it.

  • How refreshing it is to hear someone speak like this, instead of the anti-Christian rhetoric that is often found in the Press. Brit, you are bold. Thank you. For the rest of you who argue Christianity, let me ask you a question: Is your argument against Christianity, an argument for Tiger? Argue the facts: Tiger desperately needs hope and forgiveness. What amount of "hope" does your Atheism offer? Christians are NOT perfect people...but they are a forgiven people.

  • I agree. However, I am getting tired of Christian-Bashers that enter an argument with no authority to back up what they say. Jesus has a plan for all, however all are called and few recieve. Jerimiah 29:11

I forgive, and love those who persecute me and MY God.

  • This is by far and away the most wonderful, "Politically incorrect" statement, I have ever heard from a prime time national news person!!!!! Tiger Woods just like every single other sinner out there, needs the love and redemption that Jesus Christ the one and only Son of God and Savior has to offer! I pray right here and right now that he finds you dear Jesus. Amen! Jesus Loves you Tiger!

  • OK. I don't think that it's fair that people of other faiths can share their beliefs openly without persecution, but when Christianity is thrown into the mix, people get all bent out of shape.

@loonmaniac: The Bible states that there ARE consequences for these actions, and forgiveness is promised, as long as you don't PURPOSELY go out and commit these crrimes on purpose. Under the American Constitution, we are all allowed free speech. If FOX xhose to show this on air, then that's their choice.

  • lol wonder how much the christians would pay him to be christian.

  • arrogant fuck !!!

  • Wow...how is that working for you turtleblues? C'mon man, we're all in this crazy life together. Noone deserves to be belittled like that. You may not agree with Brit, but use a tad bit of the manners our society plays by.

  • he is ridiculously arrogant to suggest his religion will solve someone else's problems, he is in a position of influence by being a tv newsperson and his comments are an outrage. manners our society plays by??? dare to dream dude...

  • Christianity allows you to murder, rape, and rob without consequences as long as you ask for forgiveness.

  • My personal favorite example of that is Manifest Destiny.

  • .. ever here of the "Ten Commandments".... murder, rape, rob... no.... these are not tenents of the Christian faith. But yes, even murders, rapists and theives can find redemption and forgiveness through Jesus Christ... does that mean they continue in their sin... no... and there are consequences. We are ALL sinners... all fall short and are not worthy ... it is only through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross that we are able to come before God... ALL our sins are forgiven through Him.

  • Jesus schemsus. People find redemption all on their own all the time. People find salvation by hard work. People find forgiveness by being candid and honest and genuine and by counting on the humanity of their friends and loved ones to forgive them.

    No Jesus needed.

  • SIn sin sin. Who the fuck are you to call the actions of another a sin? You're picking up the first stone, so to speak, every time you call someone else's actions a sin.

  • why cant we see what the rest of the panel said after this?

did they agree? how many? wtf... fail edit is fail

  • Wow, is Brit Hume that much of a Christian vegetable? Silly mythology humpers like him always crack me up.

  • @xalysta13

    lol mythology humpers

  • I would fuck Brit Hume up! Piece of shit wouldn't last 10 seconds in the Octagon with me.

  • Brit Hume is an ignorant fascist prick. Im just disgusted.

  • Brit says that buddhism doesn't offer forgiveness, but even more it offers more forgiveness than most christian faiths. Tiger is getting a divorce, something that is HIGHLY looked down upon in christian faiths. Buddhism roots, from what i know of is not to judge people based on their mistakes, it is to judge them on how they react from their mistakes.

  • redondobeech,

FORGIVENESS has nothing to do with religious bigotry and proselytizing.

Spiritual Christians like Mother Theresa and Jimmy Carter who demonstrate their Christian love, forgiveness and charity with action and devotion are admirable.

It's the overwhelming majority of Christian hypocrites and loud-mouthed Christian bigots like Hume who are despicable.

    THAT'S THE POINT!!!

  • This was the best advice I have heard yet. Thanks Brit for your courage to give it!

  • No. But assholes like this want to restrict some decisions other people should be free to make for themselves.

    .

  • I guess this unbelievably ignorant and bigoted Hume forgot Governor Mark Sanford, Governor Eliot Spitzer, Sen. John Ensign, and Sen. Larry Craig, as well as most philandering American athletes, are all professed CHRISTIANS.

    Duhh???

    Typical FOX NEWS.
